A Legend Revived!

Meet the Moog Taurus III - a LTD Edition revival of the legendary Moog Taurus bass pedal. The first Taurus, introduced in the late '70s, swept the music world by storm, finding itself onstage with artists such as Led Zeppelin, Yes, Rush, Genesis, Weezer, and many others. Absolutely faithful to the sound of the original Taurus 1, the Moog Taurus III delivers those ultra-fat synth sounds you're after. In fact, its 100% analog sound engine is based entirely on the Taurus I's circuits. So, don't miss out - Moog's only making 1,000 of the Moog Taurus III.

Moog Taurus III LTD Edition Bass Pedal Synthesizer at a Glance:
  • A LTD Edition, modern revival of a legend
  • Ultra-fat: 100% analog, based on original Taurus circuits

A LTD Edition, modern revival of a legend
The original Moog Taurus I was produced from 1976-1981 and found favor with countless top musicians - it's been onstage with bands the likes of Pink Floyd, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, and, more recently, Weezer and Tool. It's an extremely fat synth, designed to be played with your feet - although how you bring it into your stage rig is entirely up to you. Moog brought back the Taurus just once in the 80s - the Taurus II - and now, 20 years later, they're bringing us the Taurus III. It's loaded with all the same classic sounds as the original Taurus I - the ones that built its legend - but features even more sounds for you to explore. But, Moog's only making 1,000 of this low-end beasts, so don't miss this limited chance to own one!

Ultra-fat: 100% analog, based on original Taurus circuits
The Moog Taurus III boasts a 100% analog sound engine, based entirely on the original Taurus I's circuits. It's got all that same ultra-fat sound that made it an instant-classic - the original presets VAR, TAURUS, TUBA, and BASS - but it features a total of 12 banks of 4 presets, for a total of 48 programmable bass sounds. An onboard arpeggiator has the ability to respond to tap tempo. What's more, there are Control Voltage (CV) inputs for Volume, Filter, Pitch, and Gate, so you can get seriously creative with your sound.

Moog Taurus III LTD Edition Bass Pedal Synthesizer Features:
  • LTD Edition - Only 1,000 Made
  • 100% analog sound engine, based on original Taurus 1 circuits
  • 2 VCO Oscillators, ADS Contour Generator, 1 VCF Filter, Output VCA
  • 12 banks x 4 presets = 48 total programmable bass sounds
  • Bank 0 contains the original Taurus 1 Presets - VAR, TAURUS, TUBA, and BASS
  • MIDI: Din and USB, Merging and Routing
  • Arpeggiator: MIDI Sync, Tap Tempo, Internal
  • Control Voltage (CV) Inputs: Volume, Filter, Pitch, Gate

Sweetwater's relationship with Moog goes way back, and some of us fondly remember the last time Bob himself came to visit. Over the years, we've had the honor of watching Moog grow and evolve, and with synthesis experts like Daniel Fisher on staff, we're still one of the first companies to catch wind of new Moog products - they never fail to impress! Whether it's a classic reissue, a breakthrough new keyboard, or even a cool effects pedal, you can be sure anything you get from Moog will make you happy, and we'd love to tell you all about it.
