I received the ToneWoodAmp2 from Sweetwater very quickly, along with emailed instructions. The installation went seamlessly, and I was using the ToneWoodAmp2 very quickly. This is an excellent piece of equipment to add to an acoustic guitar. I am totally enjoying it.

I purchased and installed a Tonewood 2 on my Taylor 814ce last year. Even after assuring perfect installation and making several minor tweaks/adjustments (hoping they would help), the sound was a weak yet horrifying racket of nonsensical vibrations and electronic noise. I returned the product to Sweetwater for a full refund (which the great folks at Sweetwater processed quickly). Lesson learned - There is little point in trying to improve on the quality sound you get from a good acoustic guitar - they are perfect the way they are - and any attempt to produce modifications through electronic manipulation will sound like... electronic manipulation! And, the Tonewood 2 is the worst I have ever encountered. (I've been playing guitar for 50 years.) Just looking at the concept and claims, I should have known better!

I absolutely love this thing. Get one seriously.

I had the original Tonewood that I liked but it would go through batteries like crazy.,I upgraded to the new Tonewood amp2 and love it. It's smaller than the first about the size of your cellphone and it's rechargeable which really sold me on this. Also love the reverb effects. Highly recommend this for anyone who plays acoustic guitar.

I'm playing my classical so much more and am truly inspired by what this device does to the experience of guitar playing. I haven't yet tried it on my other acoustics but the sound, once you get your setting tweaked, is unmatched and the guitar suddenly seems stale when you turn it off. I took a chance on this and it paid off big time.

Use it for my single show. Gives my Martin a beautiful tone with just the right amount of delay and reverb. No pedals to have to mess with, love this device.

I have enjoyed the original Tonewood Amp for a couple of years, but the new Tonewood Amp 2 far exceeds my expectations! Firstly, the sound is far better in the new version…more clarity. less feedback, and far more ability to shape the sound you are looking for with the extensive editing capabilities of the control app. No more tweaking from the back of the guitar, everything can be edited and recalled so easily in the app. Multiple simultaneous effects, including compression, EQ, DI settings, various reverb, modulation and chorusing fine tuning, etc. Also, lighter weight with rechargeable (quick charge) battery. A real leap forward in this awesome technology!

My daughter and my sister just bought me a tonewood 2 amp for my 70th birthday. I hope this will help me to get interested in getting back to playing. Been playing for 60 years.

From the instant I heard a sound, i knew the Tonewood 2 was improved. The quality and resonance of the sounds gave me another "wow" moment I experienced when starting up the original Tonewood. All the other improvements are icing on the cake; built in batteries, slimmer profile and the robust mobile app, allowing you to dial-in the tones of your choice. Also, not needing to replace the original X braces was well thought out and a big convenience. Well deserved kudos to the Tonewood Team for improving an already great product!

I had gotten one when they first come out and they make the guitar sound really good well worth the money
