The Boss Chromatic Tuner is what should be on your pedal board if you care about staying in tune. None better. The mini version takes up very little real estate and punches way above its weight class.

I like having this on the tuner out of my Browne Amplification "The Fixer." I like that it's always on and doesn't take up much room.

I have the Boss TU-3. Awesome tuner…. Unfortunately, you have to turn it on every time you restart your pedal board. I have a home studio and just use the non muted output. I've been looking into modifying the pedal to be always on, but Boss switches aren't mechanical, so it would be a real chore… then along came the TU-3S! Some people stress eat, I buy pedals instead. This thing trumps the last several purchases I've made. Nicely done Boss!

A solid little unit. Easy to read in the dark with the brightness adjustment. Have not noticed any noise when added in the chain. Work well with Bass tuning by selecting the bass mode. Boss did a great job designing a solid unit with great features.

I'm very impressed with the tuner performance, and the small size makes it perfect for my pedalboard. However, I had to relocate the tuner to after the compressor and drive pedals because the noise introduced would become amplified and not acceptable.

It's the perfect tuner for a floor-rig which already has a bypass. I run it before my LR Baggs VP DI. Same reliable tuning as the TU2/TU3, with a smaller footprint and sans the foot switch. If you run low-to-standard draw pedals, it will power those too. My VP DI does not like getting power from it unfortunately, but my other pedals run off of it just fine.

I went from having the old school LCD non-backlit tuner to this, so it's been amazing. I'm not classically trained and so having it on has been enlightening and I feel like I am learning more this way. Everyone should probably have one.

It came with a power cord to extend power out to like two additional pedals piggybacking off of the TU-3s's source, which is cool if you don't have a big supply. Hoping to never go back, and not having the foot switch is nice.

Interesting that this unit stays on all the time so it takes a little getting used to the flashing lights. Other than that it is accurate and easy to use for different tuning options.

I love this tuner. I run it out of the aux of my Dunlop DVP4 Volume (X) Mini Pedal and it works great. Would definitely recommend!

This is exactly what you think it is! I previously had a TU-2, and the TU-3 seems to have a little bit better pitch sensitivity. I fully intend to use this tuner for the next 10 years.

This is the same BOSS TU-3 super tuner you know and love, just minus the battery compartment (9v adapter operation only) and footswitch (as it is always on!) It is also a 9v power distributor.

This unit was perfect for myself because I needed a true bypass inline tuner before my amp. My Thunderfunk TBA-750 mutes at the input, so none of the outputs are tuner through sends. It sits at the rear of my rack, angled up and allows me to mute at the amp and tune easily. The TU-3s also provides power to a HPF and compressor for loop #1 in the rear of the amp rack case.

The TU-3s and OneSpot 9v adapter fit into a small Cannon 35mm camera lens case for travel...

I bought this tuner because my favorite guitar player J mascis uses it. That being said there are number of reasons why this tuner is at the top of my list: 1) It is small and compact and reliable, 2) visually it has a beautiful easy to read display than the big version. 3) It is easy to add velcro to the bottom because it doesn't have that rubber that most boss pedals have and that I hate. I intend to get a second one for my bass pedal board.

That being said ....whats not to like??? Get it!

how dare they charge me $150 and not supply an ac adaptor[which apparently is required to use this pos].now i have to spend more money and wait for delivery.pathetic.don't even know if this thing works but any company that sells their products without all the required components in an attempt to make you spend more can't be trusted.very unimpressed

It is perfect for me. There are numerous indicators that you are close, spot on, and confirmation of spot on. The screen is easier to see than on most tuners that visibly have a pedal in between your eyes and the screen. The screen is at an angle facing my eyes.
And, the added brightness setting is welcome. I perform with sunglasses and the added brightness allows me to see the screen even with the sunglasses. Yo Boss... excellent!

I've always loved using Boss Tuners, and when I finally heard that they were coming out with a smaller version I was stoked! The TU-3S display is the same as the TU-3 and the always on feature is perfect for me. I used the tuner out of my volume pedal, so I didn't need the tuner to turn off. It also saves a LOT of space on my board without losing the feel of the Boss Tuner.

I would recommend it for those who use volume pedals and don't need to switch off their tuner.

I have been using the Boss TU-3s tuner for a few weeks now and it's the best tuner I have ever used. All works great and easy to operate. The high brightness function works awesome and is easy to see even in low light. I find it small size perfect for my small pedal board.

This thing is amazing! I love that it doesn't turn off unless you unplug it from it's power source. It is extremely useful for pedal boards. Before this, I had a tu-2 it still works great, but this one never turns off!
I run this from the tuner out of my volume pedal and can tune silently. I'd recommend this to any one who users the tuner out on their volume pedals on their pedal board!
