This review has been long in coming as I have had this suite of plug-ins for several years now. Like many out there, I have quite a few plug-ins from a variety of reputable companies, but IK's T-RackS tends to be one of my top go-to's for a variety of tasks. I use all the components of this suite frequently and have used them to produce truly radio-ready releases from my home studio. No kidding. For instance, we currently have a song firmly in the top 100 on the country chart mixed & mastered with this package. Great tools and incredible value for the price!

After much agonizing about which Mastering Program to get, I decided on the T-Racks. No Regrets, Simple to use. I was using a Mastering House, but due to circumstances I had to find something I could use at home. Also I have found it useful for processing samples/especially Drums.

Before T-RackS, I was mostly using Ozone and EZMix for my mastering needs (or just attempting to master myself, which for the longest time was a process I didn't fully understand). EZMix eventually got old and Ozone just wasn't doing the trick. So I eventually tried out IK's products and found One and the T-RackS mastering suite, and I haven't looked back since. One is completely brilliant and with its many presets, I can almost effortlessly find the mastering sound I'm looking for - whatever it takes to make the music punchy, lively, and exciting. But the mastering suite is the best. It comes with very good presets that I use on almost every session. Overall, I haven't used anything else, or wanted to use anything else, for mastering since I tried out this mastering suite. It takes cares of all my needs in that department, and with excellence. I fully recommend it. 5 full stars.

The T-RackS does exactly what I wanted. I wanted something simple and intuitive to use for mastering and adding metadata to song files. I use it as a stand alone piece of software. Absolutely no complaints.

I was looking for a simple desktop stand-alone mastering unit, and I found the perfect one for me!

Even from the (as usual, awesome) Sweetwater video demos, I knew this program was going to be absolutely essential in allowing me to complete my songs without having to book studio time, and spend 10 times the amount of money.

Long story short, by simply running a song through this software without even touching a dial, even my old demos from my 8-track cassette days sound radio-level ready. And now that I've had the software for a while, I'm getting the hang of tweaking variables on it to bring my recordings to their best sonic possibilities even more.

I know there are going to be SO many new things that I'll be able to use (not only with the core program but with the add-ons that are available), but again, right from the start, simply playing a mix of your tune through this will INSTANTLY make you realize your purchase was SO well worth it!

I currently make Beats and Mix, but I felt like it was time to invest in a high quality mastering suite. Once you learn how to Master, I thinks it's important to pick your own tools to get the job done. So I've been on the hunt for high quality mastering plugins, and I found T-Racks 5 because of the ONE module. Trust me, you may not understand Mastering now, but don't wait, invest and you will have what you need when you're ready.

Disclaimer: I have no formal training as a mastering engineer, and I don't really do mastering unless I really need to.

And that's why this software is so great.

Mastering has always been a bit mysterious to me. I've studied what I can find on the internet as much as I can, and I spent a fair amount of that time still a little confused about what a mastering engineer actually does - I think I've remedied that confusion in recent years, but I still would never call myself a mastering engineer. I'm a composer/producer, and these plugins have gone a long way towards demystifying the process for me.

Having used them on a growing number of projects, I think I can say pretty conclusively that the only reason for my mastering work to ever fall short of the industry standard is because of my own limited skillset. It definitely isn't a shortcoming of the software, at least not as far as I can identify. They do exactly what they say they're going to do - turn a knob and smile. The "One" plugin in particular is absolutely fantastic - very clearly labeled, very musical, and can operate on a spectrum from fantastically subtle to...well, the other thing.

I would highly recommend these plugins to anyone looking to learn more about the mastering process. There are plenty of professional mastering engineers that use them and endorse them - their recommendations were enough for me (especially given the price!), but I think it's worth pointing out that you don't have to be a mastering guru to get great results out of this stuff, and it's made me that much more confident that I can deliver convincing results to the occasional client that asks me to do mastering in addition to production/mixing.

demoed this and almost bought it right away. its kind of a pain to have to download ALL their plugs, even ones you're not buying, but a lot of company's do that now(hello,UAD). anyway, they have a nice 14 trial period to check out the other plugs.

Very useful tools in producing a song. Would be 5 stars if only the activated plugins showed up on the list when mixing. The list is immense and gets very frustrating when trying to remember what you have paid for. This goes for any software plugins by any manufacturer. I would like to see IK Multimedia lead the way and put something in place for the end user to know what is available, at all times. 75 plugins, or so in a bundle. Again, well worth the purchase but nothing to show what is available except trial and error and a good memory of what you have used already.
