Almost a five
I've had the bass for over a year now. I docked it a half point because the cable often falls out??
Other than that, the bass is very articulate with a voice that is clear, clean and bold. Other than some intonation tweaks, it was spot on.
The build quality and balance are perfect. I opened the cover to the electronics and was amazed at the amount and complexity... I would guess that this may possibly explain the georgous voice.
The exact orientation of the neck and body, relative to the player seems unique and unlike any of my other ten bassi.
Overall, this bass represents exceptional value for the dollar.
Great Product Yamaha Basses !

Feels Smooth : Body & Neck.

Yes I am an American . And Love U.S.A Products too.
Well-made,solid, and versatile bass. Worth the scratch.
Bought a used bbn4ii and was blown away so i wanted to try a new yamaha. The trbx504 looked good so i tried it and while in the store the bass didnt even have a battery, but i liked it so much in passive mode i went ahead and bought it. Its a great bass. Dont know why yamaha doesnt get more credit.... couldve skipped the Five squiers and two SUB’s if i had known yamaha made such high quality guitars.
Good value
Great value. Decent bass. Weight is good. ,Only flaw is tone. Again for an inexpensive bass you are not going to get everything. Overall it is worth the money.
