A great investment for a preforming drummer

Purchased this set for my best friend of Forty Years, as his birthday present. He has been drumming since I met him, in the early Eighties. He also currently owns a Yamaha Stage Custom set (Bop Kit) in Natural (Birch).

After changing the heads (top and bottom), stretching, and tuning - He couldn't be happier! He has played two events, both indoor and outdoor; both he and his bandmates commented on his new set. As compared to his Yamaha Stage Custom (Birch), this Yamaha Tour Custom (in Maple) provides more base and midrange.

He also ordered (separately) the Yamaha Tour Custom Snare Drum in Caramel Satin. As a set, he has been extremely satisfied with both his Bop Kit and Snare.

Based on his forty years of drumming and percussion, I would recommend this set to a semi-pro drummer, looking for a great set to play gigs, both indoor and outdoor.
