Best headphones!

By victor ziegler from Fridley, MN on February 14, 2024

These are perfect for those who have several sets of ears in the studio. They sound amazing at that price range. Built to last. Not the most comfortable on your head and ears but again you can't lose on these.

Best headphones for DJ, tracking or live sound

By Robert Blick from Rohnert Park, CA on December 5, 2022 Music Background: Done it all, except for the success part

These are not headphones I would use for critical listening or mixing. While the sound is balanced and fairly nuanced, they are not audiophile quality. Being closed back, the bass has some dips and peaks and will vary depending on your ear shape and hair and if you wear glasses or not. I have other headphones for mixing. These have great sound isolation. The cord is long, relatively strong, and comes off one side. The right side earcup can be flipped up and doesn't hurt my head when doing that. The headband and earcups are comfortable. The low price is the best part. When you destroy a pair, grab another, because at this price, you bought a few, right? As the subject line says, they are the best headphones for DJ, tracking or live sound that I've tried.

Excellent Quality

Great and around studio headphones

I'm using them to track my songs currently and an extremely happy with my purchase. For the price, they're UNBELIEVABLE.

Great for the price.

Listen, you get what you pay for. If your expecting $120 quality... These are not the headphones for you. If you're looking for good quality cheap headphones that sound decent and are comfy.... you can't go wrong with them. I purchased 5 for a tech class that I teach and they have survived extremely well. For $... bucks you won't be disappointed.

Good budget headphones for the price

By John from Fort Wayne on January 5, 2022 Music Background: Recording Artist

These headphones are great for recording if you just want to hear the feedback. They don't have a lot of higher range frequencies. If you wear glasses long term wear will start to hurt after awhile.

Okay, If you need alot of pairs of headphones!!!

By Dawn Campbell from Tennessee on January 25, 2023

I've owned multiple pairs of these. You 100% get what you pay for.

Pros:
Somewhat flat responce. (Although they sound a bit tinny)
Price point.

Cons:
They are extremely uncomfortable after 5 minutes, even if you have normal sized ears. Although I don't expect much for the cheap price point, I do think Tascam could've made something more comfy.

Conclusion:
Save up a little more money, and invest in something decent. (Maybe some affordable senhizers) You can put more money into your headphones.. they're crucial!! Although, these are decent if you need ALOT of pairs of headphones, then these would be good for that! But realisticly, not many people are gonna be recording something like "we are the world"

Audio Jack Kills It

By Dat Boy Trav on September 13, 2023

Headphones comes with a 1/8" jack with attached 1/4" adapter. Cool. But on this pair the adapter doesn't screw on so if it moves enough you lose signal. Not cool. Save up the extra $ and get a pair of the TH200x. They beat these out in build quality, comfort, style, and design for a slight jump in price.

Great sound for the money, but consistent cord problems

By Sweetwater Customer on December 13, 2022 Music Background: Teacher, Keyboardist

I got a class set of these for a computer production class. They have consistently broken in the same way. Right ear goes out without any noticeable damage. Replaced some under warranty, kept breaking the same way. Yes I have had 2-3 break from misuse but more than a dozen more have gone out within a year in the same manner. Which is too bad because if you get a pair that holds up, they sound very very good for the money. Not bassy but even clear and punchy, like a 7506 but a little tighter.

Very Uncomfortable but Decent Sounding Headphone

By Tommy Tranq from Silver Spring, MD on July 3, 2023 Music Background: Electronic Music

The Tascam TH-02 are not an excellent pair of headphones. They are definitely uncomfortable, not painful but much worse than what I'm used to which is Audio Technica ATH-M50x. I bought these for tracking with microphones. I didn't do any mixing on them, opting just to use them as reference monitors. They sound pretty good but, with literally any other option that's higher quality, you'll be better off. For the money they're pretty good though. Naturally you are spending much less than a higher quality headphone and you very much get what you pay for. I would not buy these again if they broke. Their inherent value is too limited and I think I learned my lesson cheaping out.
