Great mics for sound engineers
I operate a production company that specializes in live sound reinforcement.
The TG D35D is the tom mic of choice for my company.
The sound is really the best part of these mics, but the clips are what makes them great for our application.
I see a lot of drummers and a lot of different hardware. The TG D35D have the most versatile clips and are easy to use.
There are times where we will provide sound for five bands in one night. The TG D35D is the only tom mic that fits on nearly every type of hardware.
The sound is great also, I pair these up with a Shure 91A and Beyer Dynamic TG D57c for a full drum sound. The tom mics pick up just enough cymbals that I don't have to use condenser mics.
Another great thing is they store very easily and don't weigh much.
I highly recommend these mics.
Way better than the price point!
I've had the 3 pack of these for about 2 years now and man, what a great set of mics. I used them on toms and they are just amazing. Great transients, clean midrange and clean Low end and rounded top end. I just recently used this on a drum session and threw it on the snare and I was blown away! I had a telefunken m80 on top and a Unidyne 57 on the bottom, but we decided to add the beyer and it was awesome. Went to mix the song and this was the main mic with the rest blended a bit
