Great Kit
The kit arrived packaged well and on time. Set up and tuning was a breeze and the hardware is very sturdy. Really like the rack tom mounts. The thin maple shells sound excellent and after playing a couple hours every day have held their tune. Very nice sound, projection, and the good heads that come with it make it ready to go straight out of the box. Chocolate Satin finish is gorgeous and has received a lot of compliments. Have not noticed one thing I did not like about this kit. Big thanks to my Sales Rep Reid.
My dream set!
Bought this Tour Custom Maple set to upgrade from a Yamaha Stage Custom birch kit and loving it. I Tried to look for more detail information on a 20" kick configuration before bought it but could not find any so here we go. The 20" bass drum has 10 lugs! (Same as the 22" version). Floor Tom has 8 lugs! I actually love the shorter bass drum which is 15" that looks very proportional. The 2.3mm inverse Dynahoops are thick ( compare to my Stage Custom which was about half the thickness). The finish on these drums are just flawless. Tuning these are easy enough to make them sound good. I have swapped out the stock batter heads for Evans G2. The stock bottom heads are also batter heads, I think they are a little thick, I'm thinking to get thinner resonant heads… overall super happy with the kit. Happy drumming!
I couldn’t be more pleased with this kit
I often get compliments from fellow musicians on how great the sound is. I love how tight I can bring this kit in for increased playability and….it is so incredibly easy to tune AND it holds the tune. The chocolate satin finish is quite lovely as well. And the price is just dandy.
