Miktek T89 Supercardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone Reviews

Supercardioid Dynamic Vocal Mic, with Protective Case and Mic Clip

Looking for a dependable handheld microphone for live vocals? The Miktek T89 dynamic mic combines a neodymium mic element with Miktek's custom transformer to deliver exceptional sound quality with depth and dimension. The T89's focused supercardioid polar pattern provides excellent off-axis rejection, minimizing the risk of feedback onstage. We've used a lot of handheld dynamic mics at Sweetwater, and we're impressed with the T89's clear and articulate sound. Complete with a protective case and mic clip, you can hit the stage with confidence with the Miktek T89 vocal mic.

Excellent Vocal Microphone

By Sweetwater Customer on June 28, 2019

Excellent microphone: the warm and smooth tone is balanced well without any harshness in the high end! The sweet spot is comfortable enough and not too tight. The T89 has a Miktek designed and foreign built transformer while the PM9 has a US made transformer. I"m sure the PM9 may be better for the Studio, but for live, this is more than adequate! Built like a tank and very attractive and sleek design indeed! Assembled and tested in Music City in Nashville, Tennessee! Miktek knows what it is doing indeed! I recommend auditioning this beautiful microphone!

Great microphone

Great microphone. I am not sure how it compares to the PM-9...but Miktek can't seem to convey the message very well. I did get some scuffing on the mic in my stand and not sure how. My other mics didn't scuff, not much but it is new. I did send a photo of it to Mike at Miktek, he was MISSING IN ACTION on getting back to me. I guess for a hundred dollar microphone I am not the target audience.

I do find the microphone sounds really smooth and open. I think it compares well to my AKG D-5 very well. I think this may be smoother. You could easily kill a man with the stout build on this microphone.

Specs show the same as the PM 9 that is twice the price. Not sure why...but Miktek doesn't really care to clarify any differences.

Great microphone! Not happy that the listings aren't compared well for the T89 and PM9. Was not happy to be blown off after my email to Miktek on my issue. Great sounding and well built microphone.

Miketek makes good stuff, I can tell. I like better customer service, some reviews and response on issues. Love the microphone, but won't deal with this company again. Good luck to you guys, WORK ON THAT MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION THING!
