So far, so great!
This was definitely a surprise purchase, but one I had been considering for quite some time. Just starting to try and get back into church music work, and I needed a guitar that is versatile, playable, easy to take care of, and easy to transport. This fits those parameters nicely. I play a wide variety on this guitar. It works well as an "acoustic", and I'm really loving it for technical fingerstyle (so nice to be able to play acoustically and still hear nuances). Set up was perfect. It looks, feels, and plays great, even better, it sounds wonderful. Tuning machines are smooth. All controls work very well. All in all, this has been a good investment so far. I expect this guitar to last a long time, and I am highly motivated to take great care of it, with all the use I have planned for it.
Taylor T5Z Buy it now, stop waiting!!!!
I have had a few acoustic guitars, mostly Taylor. I had a Fender Acoustisonic Stratocaster about a year ago, but I didnt like it. I think the biggest difference between the two is the Fender uses acoustic strings and the Taylor uses electric strings, so the Taylor plays much smoother and easier on the fingers. I wish I would have tried electric strings on the Fender before I got rid of it. But for the T5Z, I got it today and I just put it away after about 4.5 hours. I could not put it down, it is that awesome. I played it through a Fishman acoustic amp and then through a Orange 212 amp and the range and reach of this guitar is amazing. I cant wait to go at it again tomorrow. As usual my sales guy Ryan Springer is the best and always follows up on all my purchases, couldnt ask for a better experience, Sweetwater is now the only place I get stuff from. If you are looking at this guitar, then stop now and buy it, hands down the best purchase I have made.
Awesome guitar
This guitar looks and sounds awesome. The pickup system works great, is versatile, and has good crisp, clean sound across the board. Very comfortable to play too. Very highly recommend if you're looking for a hollow-body electric.
