Taylor T5z Classic, Left-Handed Hollowbody Electric Guitar - Tropical Mahogany Sweetwater Exclusive Reviews
There are electric guitars, there are acoustic guitars; then there's the left-handed Taylor T5z Classic. Sweetwater's guitar pickers are big fans of Taylor's T5 Thinline acoustic-electric. With the T5z Classic, Taylor gives you even more features that will make you feel right at home if you're coming from a solidbody electric. They've thinned out the body even more, and sped'd the buttery ebony fingerboard with a 12" radius and jumbo frets to make string bending even easier. And the range of available sounds? Far beyond what we've come to expect from traditional acoustic or electric guitars. With the T5z Classic, there's no limit to your sonic possibilities!

New Girl friend!
Got my T5Z a few days ago, I can't put the thing down. I absolutely love this guitar, Plays very well, the neck is fast and feels perfect for my hands. The controls make the sound so flexible it's crazy, and it is as if your Q.C. crew set this guitar up just for me! The whole package is first rate, It comes with a really nice gig bag, DON'T cheap out!
Buy the case to, this is the nicest guitar case I've ever own. It's worth the $! I can't leave out my
buddy TJ Jackson, as always he's on it and he knows the product. I've bought everything from pianos to
amps here, I feel like I have stock in Sweetwater.
Thanks again buddy
Really Versatile Guitar
This is a beautiful guitar for starters. The action is very nimble and feather touch. Intonation is perfect. I can make it sound like my American Professional Strat with no effects pedals. Sounds great acoustically as well. It covers all the basses for clean tones and can get dirty if you want it to. it's very light weight and is a guitar you can play for hours effortlessly.
This guitar is a many trick pony and I'm really impressed with the build quality. It's an overall excellent utility guitar for studio and stage because of it's versatility.
SWEET SOUND
I received this guitar yesterday and played it for a hour or so, to get used to the feel and the sounds at different settings. Then today I played it a couple more hours, this time using backing tracks that I use in my show. It truly has a sweet sound and plays incredibly easy. I have been playing mostly an
Americian elite Strat and a PRS, also have a Breedlove acoustic that I love. This guitar will take the place of all of them for stage. With the tones it already has and maybe one pedal it can cover all the different sounds I need, my set consists of 28 songs ranging from Hard Rock to semi acoustic ballads. Cool to have one guitar for the whole show, especially one that plays so easily. All in all I am very happy with this and feel it is, in reality, way cooler than I expected. GREAT GUITAR.
GREAT guitar!
This guitar has turned out better than I could have imagined. Sounds better than my American Strat. And when I want to play an acoustic, it's there. Try it, you will like it!
A great option for lefties!
We don't get much options being left handed so I figured I'd share my purchase…so far, this guitar is fantastic. Plays and sounds amazing…. Now for the unfortunate part about the order….It would be five stars but two of my tuners came in crooked. I'm not sure if it happened during shipping or not…But it looks like it will be a simple fix once I need to do a string change.
Sweetwater is the best
My new favorite guitar. Lightweight, good action, versatile looks good, great deal at Sweetwater. Worth the drive. Sweetwater is by far the nicest music store I have ever been in.
Sounds great.
Plugged in this guitar sounds great. It's shorter scale and light action combined with its light weight makes playing this guitar a bit of a challenge. I've had to rethink my playing style because I'm a bit heavy handed. This isn't a bad thing but it was surprising.
