Has the speed for live audio recording at 16/44.1:

By Martin Horn from CA on October 10, 2023 Music Background: Musician/audio engineer/recording artist/sound designer/solo piano performer

All my keyboard products, and I have many, claim all USB drives may not function with their equipment, So I asked my sales engineer to recommend a USB drive. It was a Sweetwater branded drive, don't know who makes it. But if Sweetwater put their name on it maybe it is good for music devices.

I wanted to record my long 30-minute solo piano composition on the built in USB drive of my Yamaha DGX-670 piano. My friend has the same piano and her recording was not dependable (with a different USB drive). This recording device on my piano is very important, and one of reasons I bought it to avoid recording to a computer.

Well, off I went on my half hour piece, and without a single problem the Yamaha piano and the Sweetwater USB drive recorded the entire 30 minutes without a single problem. YEA! So, this should fix my friends piano recording problems too. Never assume anything is going to function properly, make sure your entire chain of connections is top quality.

16 bit 44.1kHz was the recording resolution (CD Quality). Note there is a bright red LED indicating it is functioning (recording) a good thing, unless you don't want the distraction.
