Guild Surfliner Solidbody Electric Guitar - White Sage Reviews
A wallet-friendly offset for the masses! Guild’s Surfliner takes the sleek '60s style of a traditional offset guitar and hot rods it with performance-minded features for guitarists who require an instrument with rock-solid stability. The Surfliner’s lightweight poplar body and offset-waist body shape provide an unmatched comfort — both sitting and standing. The smooth maple-on-maple neck’s Narrow Jumbo frets and 10-inch radius ensure smooth playability for players of all stripes. What about versatility? The Surfliner has it in spades, boasting an HSS configuration comprised of two Aersonic single coils and an LB-1 mini humbucker in the bridge, taking you everywhere from surfy drip to all-out crunch. Finally, the string-through body and the Tune-o-matic bridge are ideal for players who love the offset look, but prefer a more streamlined hardware setup.

Wife wanted it because it looked pretty
I bought this guitar simply because my wife thought it looked great. After playing it for a few months I have to say that it plays great as well. Neck is smooth and fast, pickups are fantastic! Highly recommend. As always, thanks to Adam Hunter, Sweetwater's best sales engineer.
Great guitar
Guild has created a beauty here, with great pick ups.
Craftmanship is superb with a very comfortable neck, superb fret work , playability ,& sound.
For the price, IMHO ,it's a winner.
Guild Surfliner - a great, versatile guitar
This guitar has one of my favorite finishes ever (sage white, which looks almost like grayish-mint green in person) and the three-switch pickup selectors make this an extremely versatile guitar. You can turn two pickups off and use only one pickup switch to be able to act as a kill switch of sorts! Fretwork is good for the price, no complaints there.
I had to have a setup out of the box like most cheaper guitars, but this isn't a tough guitar to adjust at all, and it's a good skill to learn -- it'll save you so much money.
My only wish is that there was some sort of tremolo system (considering this is a "surf" guitar). The box included a truss rod adjustment key, a couple of picks, some stickers, and a small gear bag. A gig bag would have been nice but I'm glad they include some extra bonuses in the box for beginners.
If you're looking for a reliable, cheap, and high-personality guitar, this is the one for you. It's one of the best-looking guitars I've ever played.
Guild Surfliner
This is a solid guitar with tone to the bone !
Very light weight and excellent balance.
It has 23 frets which is unique. Maple neck is smooth and fast.
Could use maybe a little fret end filing but no biggie.
No observable defects and quite good workmanship in that it all fits together nicely.
Would have preferred closed head tuners (not slotted) but that is a personal preference.
All in all well worth the price.
Guild Surfliner -- What a dog of a guitar
Barely playable. The action is set so high there is no good way to form chords. The PUPs really don't sound very good at all. Looking at the bridge, I'm not sure if I can lower it any more.
