Amazing Speaker Cabinet
With the Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and the quality build of the cabinet the clarity and punch it delivers is amazing. I am using it with my new Boss Katana 100W head and it is fantastic, even at .5 watts the sound this cabinet delivers is top notch.
Fender Super-Sonic 60 212
First of all the crispness of the Vintage 30 speakers is not to be challenged. I run this through my 1967 Fender Bassman (50W) and it just kicks. Matched with my Bassman 212 w Jensens, it gives me an all around fat round tone great for blues bass runs. Great speaker cabinet and very pleasing to my ears.
Quality Issues
The Vintage 30's are okay. Overall the cabinet design is nice but, like another reviewer noted the tolex started peeling up shortly after I received it. Again a nice design but, not so good worksmanship.
It's ok
I got one of these because I returned a Fender Blues Deluxe amp and the dealer (Musician Supply) would only give me store credit. So I needed a 2x12 cabinet and I got this. I don't care for the Vintage 30 speakers so I put Celestion GT12T-75 speakers in it. It sounds better. I am VERY disappointed that the tolex is already peeling back on mine and I don't take it anywhere. So that's just poor workmanship on that. I also wish it was a 16 ohm cabinet, but it's 8 ohm.
Not worth it. At. All.
I bought this cab about 2 years ago. I have never taken it out of my house to a gig. It is VERY disappointing. I did not like the vintage 30's. The tolex is peeling off on all sides. I put one eminence and one 75 watt cream back in it. Build quality is poor at best. Also, why 8 ohms? Rather have 16(4). Not impressed. Buy something better built
