Great guitar.
My only complaint would be that it came with paint blemishes on the back of the neck pocket where the bolts connect to the neck and body. Other than that it it's a great guitar for the price. Been jamming to some Dokken and Cinderella on it. Passes the test. Pots don't feel cheap but the pickup selector feels budget. Could be upgraded. Did need a setup to play how I wanted but now plays like a dream. I've heard lots of opinions against the Floyd rose special and they may have some merit. But I've been abusing the he'll out of it and it stays in tune compared to the 1000 model on my socal charvel. The neck pickups sound very thin and chimey in my opinion but it helps it nail those clean 80s sounds.
SOLID GUITAR FOR THE PRICE
I have a MIM (made in Mexico) Fender Stratocaster and was looking for something I could get a heavier sounding distortion/crunch and play more metal/hard rock with, and this Kramer Striker definitely does just that. It is a very pretty looking guitar but also plays well even with clean tones (with the single coils can give off single coil strat vibes) and hits hard with the humbucking pickups when wanted or needed. Also, with this guitar you can hit a pinch harmonic on just about any fret of any string if you're really trying to which is a lot more difficult for me to achieve on my strat. Comes with a cool whammy bar and tuning locks to keep the guitar in tune if you take a big dive bomb on the whammy bar. Forewarning... the tuning locks come applied already so if you are trying to tune the guitar right out the box and it won't tune just unscrew the tuning locks with the allen wrench it comes with and then tune away. Also, when applying the tuning locks, it might take a few applications before the strings will truly stay in tune, I had to re-do mine a few times before it really worked. The one and only gripe I have is that the fretboard does not come lacquered or glossy/silky smooth as it just feels like unpolished wood which if your hands were to get sweaty you won't be able to slide so smoothly up and down the fretboard, but it is not a huge deal at least for me. All in all, I think it is a very solid guitar for the price and has really good tones with the single coil and humbucking pickups. I got the guitar in a matter of days using priority shipping, and it was well protected with bubble wrap and other damage preventative measures, no scratches marks or dings upon unboxing so I highly appreciate that, thank you Sweetwater.
