Fender Tash Sultana Stratocaster Electric Guitar - Transparent Cherry Reviews

Solidbody Electric Guitar with Alder Body, Maple Neck, Maple Fingerboard, 1 Humbucking Pickup, 2 Single-coil Pickups, and Synchronized Tremolo - Transparent Cherry

Tash Sultana’s explosive loop-based exhibitions have garnered the Australian multi-instrumentalist incredible success, as well as the respect of their peers, and the Fender Tash Sultana Stratocaster is one of their first-call musical tools. This solidbody electric guitar boasts a balanced-sounding alder body that highlights the flexible sonics provided by its versatile HSS pickup configuration. The Tash Sultana Strat was built for maximum performance, as evidenced by its Modern C-shaped neck and modern 9.5-inch-radius fingerboard. You also get rock-solid hardware, such as sealed staggered tuners and a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo. The Tash Sultana Stratocaster includes an eye-catching 3-ply aged white pearl pickguard, gold hardware, and a gloss polyester finish with a matching headstock.

Visually stunning, great playability, searing tone.. but,

I will start by saying that you'll be hard pressed to find a better looking guitar. The transparent finish adds a level of complexity and depth that make it hypnotizing to look at. The pickguard and gold hardware really help tie all of it together. You get the ability for a vast range of tones from the pickups. The possibilities of what you can play on this guitar are endless..

But, at this price point, there are some issues that I feel like you shouldn't have to worry about when spending this kind of money on any brand of guitar. The fret ends hang out of the sides of the neck and you feel them as you play along the neck. I have owned this guitar since December of 2020. It has a total of roughly 5 hours of use on it. All which was done in my home. When it is not being used it lives in its hard shell case.. I clean my fingerboard before and after I play on all of my guitar. The fret wire on this guitar has started to oxidize and tarnish for some reason unknown to me. It's a little disappointing to see these qualities when spending $ on a guitar. The tremolo also came hanging an inch or more out of the guitar body when I got it. Unfortunately, the tremolo is not one of the points of inspection of Sweetwater's 55 point inspection. I can't understand why seeing as this is an essential piece of the guitar.. I could be expecting a little too much? But when I'm spending over a grand on a guitar.. I feel like it should come ready to play.. without quality control issues and having to setup the tremolo before I could play it.

It is a solid guitar but just know that you can buy an American made Strat for the same price point and get excellent quality craftsmanship. Maybe these things aren't important to you but they are things that I feel need addressed.
