Built around an early-2000s Designer Series Stratocaster, Tom’s “Soul Power” Strat was the primary guitar he used onstage and in the studio while playing with supergroup Audioslave. The foundation of the “Soul Power” Strat is a resonant and rich-sounding alder slab body balanced by a snappy combination of a maple neck and a rosewood fretboard. The electronics are modified to fit Tom’s specs with Vintage Noiseless pickups in the neck and middle positions and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the bridge position. Tom’s “Soul Power” also comes with a distinctive hardware package, which includes an authentic Floyd Rose tremolo and a kill-switch toggle. Tom Morello has inspired generations of guitarists — counting many of us at Sweetwater — and the “Soul Power” Strat is a stellar tribute to his distinctive style that is certain to inspire your playing.

Absolute beast
This guitar has soul power!
The nasty Seymour hot rail in the bridge gives you that screaming high output sound that you'd expect out of a humbucker. But then you can also have that chime out of the 2nd and 3rd position. And to add that icing on to the scrumptious cake you go to position 4 you get that John Mayer poppy goodness. Position 5 is position 5 nice and warm like a cup of coffee on a Monday morning. The noiseless pickups are a game changer hands down the most versatile guitar on the market if you are a metal head but also like to play pop and blues. You got it all in one guitar.
GUITAR POWER!
The "Soul Power" Stratocaster is an amazing guitar, a MUST have for any Tom Morello fan! Fender did a great job with this, everything looks and sounds superb! All the pickups on this sound good and you can get just about any sound you are looking for, the added KILL SWITCH is fun to play with too! Sweetwater did such an amazing job with sending me this guitar, ordered rush delivery and guitar arrived in tune and has been in tune for the 2+ weeks I've had it! The quality on this thing is outstanding, this guitar has moved to my #1, and a backup will be ordered ASAP!!! GET THEM WHILE IN STOCK!!
Morello Strat
I wish it had been made in America but I wish everything was. That aside it is a very good Guitar that my son likes. It sounds good and he is having a blast with the Floyd Rose. The sound is also very good, great pick-ups. I would recommend this Guitar. When looking we did see some not so good reviews but we have no problems. Maybe the shop saw the reviews too and those issues were fixed. I would also pay more if it was an option to get the same one made in America. We did add some good Strat Locks but I am sure Fender will always use theirs which I am not a big fan. Add $ to the cost to get locks you can trust. I have a broken Fender Strap Lock on another fender now that I need to deal with. We are very happy to have bought this Guitar.
Tom Morello
Nice parts on a poorly painted guitar. The paint on all of these guitars has been buffed down to the wood on one side of the lip of the rear tremolo cavity. Get your cleaning kit out as the entire guitar is covered in buffing compound. This guitar looks like it was produced in China. The toggle kill switch is not a 2 way kill switch it is a standard 3 position toggle. If you want a guitar that looks new and has a good paint job this one is not it. If you want a Fender with a Floyd and do not care about appearance this is one of 3 Fenders available with a Floyd Rose. I would look at the other 2 options.
