Fender Player Stratocaster HSS - Polar White with Maple Fingerboard Reviews

I was bought this guitar for my birthday by my parents and it works perfectly for any style of music, i have been using it for about two months now after i got it and i have to say i love this thing to death for clean tones, distorted, really anything, would highly recommend to any intermediate players!!

First re Mexico vs US, finish quality & assembly are flawless. I've never owned a Fender before but after just a few minutes playing it I can hardly put it down, really even unplugged the sound resonance is amazing!? One reason I liked and disliked Strats were the single coil pickups creating that 'PoP' sound. Fender addresses it with the Humbucker Single Single HSS configuration. I never knew this was an option but I find the sound incredible, it's demoed in their videos. I wanted my Strat in natural finish with black trim but it's not being offered so confession, I went with the first Strat color I ever saw, Jimi Hendrix (Polar) white and that sealed Maple neck...sweeter. The team at Sweetwater is awesome, regardless if my tech is available, each one picks up the call and resolves. Highly recommend Sweetwater and this Sweet Fender!

This is my first all white Fender Stratocaster which I have always wanted one like Hendrix played back in the day! I was going to opt for the Player series but this HSS has the humbucker included! So I definitely went with that model! Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful and plays beautifully! Highly recommended!

Years ago, I bought a white strat in the SSS configuration. We just never seemed to connect. About a year later, I let her go.
In looking at new guitars, the recent reviews seemingly coming from every direction convinced me that I simply had to have the PRS Silver Sky SE. Sadly it doesn't come in white (yeah, whatever, I want what I want). But, I was sold so I put the PRS on order and waited. And waited....days...weeks...months. Sorry, but you know how it is, once you've decided you want a new guitar...you have to have it! So. I pulled the trigger on this Fender Player HSS...in my white.

I unpacked her, and as is true of all of the guitars I have gotten from Sweetwater, a slight teak on the tuning and she was ready to go right out of the box. I friggin love this guitar! The maple neck in in contrast to my other start with the rosewood. But, oh so sweet! I have not been able to put her down. This made guitar number 13 and I do try to jump around and play them all, but I keep coming back to this strat. I get everything that I need from it and more. It's solid, responsive and just feels great, even for a brand new guitar. I can't wait to see what it'll be like when it's broken in and settled.

A few weeks later, I did get the call that the PRS was in and ready to ship. Since I had already committed (and of course was still looking forward to this guitar) I said "let's do this" and now have the Silver Sky SE as well. Don't get me wrong, the PRS is also a great guitar, but if am am being honest here, the Fender is getting 3x the attention of the PRS. I'll admit that I was surprised, given all of the hype. But, it is what it is.

If you are looking at this guitar and wondering, or are on the fence... certainly, I can't tell you what path to take as it is always each to his/her own. What I can say is...this is one fine f'n guitar and nobody, seriously, nobody would have a second's worth of buyer's remorse for this instrument. Seriously, just but it.

I purchased my Strat after playing my beloved '94 MIM Strat for the past 27 years and deciding an upgrade was in order. All I can say is that these player Strats are not the MIM Strats of yesteryear. It reminds me of the 90s US Strats. Beautiful guitar, plays great, and sounds amazing through my Blues Jr.. Happy Stratting!

I haven't been playing guitar very long but find myself with many guitars. When I ordered the Player Series Strat from Sweetwater I had played a few but they didn't have the color or pickup configuration I was looking for. I have now had this guitar for over a year and all I can say is that it is my go to guitar. Whenever I pick up another guitar it just doesn't feel quite right so I switch back to my Fender. The neck feels great in my hand and is comfortable to play. The pickups have a nice modern voicing that really allows me to use if for any genre of music I want to play. I've been saving up for an American Ultra and can't wait to spend the day at a guitar shop to pick out my next guitar.

Pucchased this guitar for my grandson's birthday. He'd wanted a Strat so,this filled the bill. I let him pick the color. Now he's sleeping with his
new guitar. Loves it, and that makes me happy. Delivery was timely, guitar was well packed, and arrived safely.

I did quite a lot of research before purchasing a new guitar for my studio, and this guitar is the jack of all trades. Firstly, pictures don't do this guitar justice, this thing is a piece of art! My guitar was a demo, so I don't know if any fret work was done, but they were perfect. Running my hand down the neck of this guitar could be compared to butter running down corn.

The versatility in music styles from the HSS configuration is incredible, and if I were to have anyone come into the studio to record, i'm sure that they could find use of this guitar. Direct input with an amp simulator, or through a traditional cabin amp, this thing is going to sound great.

** I personally choose to pair this with an orange box amp, but I also really love the sound of this guitar through a fender hot rod and a few various voxx amps as well if anyone was looking for suggestions.

This guitar has amazing value. It plays very well right out of the box, sounds great as well. Skyler was of great assistance in helping me choose a guitar that suited my needs and made sure everything arrived okay. Highly recommend Sweetwater, they do a great job with their customers and gear and they have earned my business.

I bought this because I thought the color was cool, and because my other Strats are all single coils. I figured for the money I could try the HSS combination and If I didn't like it, no big loss. Well guess what ... Never would I ever have expected this guitar to be as excellent as it is! It easily stands up to my American Elite and Pro! The Humbucker screams! The single coils are all you expect them to be! I was skeptical of the gloss finish on the fret board, but changed my mind as I was sliding up and down with minimal friction. This guitar surpassed my every expectation! My Sweetwater Sales Engineer Anthony Longano, as usual, made this a great overall experience. Even though I asked for locking tuners to be installed, I still got the guitar in two days! It was ready to play right out of the box! Yeah, no gig bag - but I prefer hardshell cases anyway. Picked up a Fender Tweed case...

I purchased my player strat recently and when I received it I was not totally happy with several small things. They listened to my situation and resolved it quickly and to my satisfaction. I am now very happy with my new guitar and would buy again from Sweetwater. Thanks to Wyatt and several others for helping me out.

I never knew how much clarity I was missing in my notes until I bought this guitar. I love the weight of it and how easy the fretboard is to navigate. However, if you plan on using the whammy bar I highly suggest getting locking tuners. The low E likes to jump out of tune. Also, if you plan on playing anything with high gain make sure you have a pedal that accommodates you. Perhaps even a pick up upgrade as well.
