Very versatile
Ive owned a bunch of strats over the years at least 15 or 20 and I enjoy these the most for their price & vesatility. You can play jazz or blues in pos 1-4 then switch to humbucker in #5 for hard rock. I cant tell the diffrence from the American made Ultra Std HSS. Great value.
Super Fender Player II HSS Strat!
What a guitar! First of all, the iconic shape. Always have loved how the body is sculpted to fit against your body. Love the look too. The sunburst just resonates with me. Love the rosewood finger board. It is very fast and easy to play chords and leads. I easily spend hours playing this guitar. Part of it must be the rolled off edges. I think it makes a big difference. The humbucker at the bridge is a delight to hear! It is not overly dark like other humbuckers, but with the dedicated tone knob for it, you can vary it to taste quite easily. You hear searing high notes without it being squawky. It just pierces through. The single coils give true Fender strat tones. I run it through a SansAmp GT2 and the sounds are incredible! Absolutely love my new Fender Player II guitar.
Incredible tone
Whether it's playing it cleanly for Lay Down Sally, or using the humbucking pickup for China Grove, this guitar sounds amazing. Easy playing neck, fantastic color and finish(I get compliments on the look of the guitar every time I pull it out) and rock solid tone, I would recommend this guitar to anybody, regardless of the price. It holds it's own in any venue.
Great sounding Strat, small quality issues
I do love this player 2 MIM Strat. I much prefer the HSS pickups and the single coils sound like how strats should sound and the humbucker gives me enough high gain sounds. It came pretty well set up out of the box. The only complaint I had was that there was a small excess glue stain right above the nut. Should not have passed QC checks?
I liked buying from sweetwater esp the feature to send it to a FedEx store for pickup. Didn't want my guitar sitting outside my house when delivered
