Fender American Performer Stratocaster - Arctic White with Rosewood Fingerboard Reviews

This beauty came from Sweetwater right to me and I literally took it out of the box and played it without having to tune it or felt the need to make any adjustments. They keep their word that their guitars do not leave there warehouse unless or until the very guitar that they are sending you will be in the very best playing and looking condition. I am in awe on how amazing a guitar can play, sound and look when handled by what i and many consider one of the best companies ( Sweetwater) in the industry. This guitar just looks and plays amazing. Having an Engineer that works for the company like Mike Singer is a perfect example of the perfection that Sweetwater has on their staff. I have known Mike for a few years and never once out of the many, many purchases and basic calls i have made to him for advice has he ever let me down with his knowledge and kindness. Mike will never let you down or disappoint you and will always be there for you. Here is a picture of my beautiful guitar and also of the mind blowing Blues Jr amp i also recently purchased from Sweetwater and Mike and could not be any happier.... Guitar arrived in excellent condition. Setup was perfect and was even in tune out of the box.It is a beautiful guitar without a scratch on it. Only downside was the late delivery due to Fed-Ex in Strafford,Mo screwing up delivery. Would recommend UPS for delivery in future. Everything else was perfect. Thanks Sweetwater!

I own two guitars from Sweetwater and each guitar came with no problem's. The guitar was set up perfectly. Sweetwater has amazing customer service. I bought the white strat but I also which the pick guard, I think im going to refret it with stainless steel frets, fender locking tuners and add the VegaTrem, which I hear is an amazing floating trem.

Bought my Performer Strat back in 2019, and it's my first US Fender. I've owned a couple of 90s Mexican strats over the years, but I ended up selling them both wishing I hadn't in the end, because they were both really good guitars. I decided this time I'd get a US model and while the Mexican ones were great guitars, this one surpasses them both by far. I expected I'd be customizing this guitar, but no, the tuners are wonderful and keep the guitar in tune very nicely even with heavy whammy use, so no locking tuner mod needed, and these Yosemite pickups are perfect for what I do and the bridge pickup came wired to the bottom tone knob already, so no mod needed there, either! That part came as a complete surprise. Fender got it completely right as far as I'm concerned with this particular Strat...and I actually prefer the vintage-style 6-screw bridge as well. Overall, the best guitar I've ever bought, in terms of overall quality and Fender putting pretty much EXACTLY what I wanted on the guitar straight out of the box, with no mods necessary aside from upping the strings from 9s to 10s and making the appropriate adjustments, which on this guitar are an absolute breeze.

I bought this guitar to customize. The finish on the body and neck are perfect the frets also. Really like the jumbo frets. Playability right out of the box was spot on for my taste. It really has a lot of resonance and sustain. The pickups are good for high gain and clean sounds. When I am done with my mods this guitar will really shine.

Excellent guitar, fit and finish are flawless. Had the Sweetwater crew set it up with 10's, and it plays like a dream. There is just nothing like an American made Stratocaster! This guitar is everything I could have asked for. I have been playing guitar on and off for about 15 years, but I would still consider my self a "beginner." With the pandemic-induced house arrest, I was looking to take my playing to the next level. I sold my old electric guitar (Ibanez SZ520QM) a few years back, and wanted to buy a versatile instrument that would last. I did a ton of research, and all roads led me back to the Fender Stratocaster. The Performer series is just want I was looking for. Something a step up from "entry level" that I can use and grow with, but not quite up to the "professional series"--honestly at this point I am not sure I could appreciate the difference. The playability is incredible, and great tones. It is a struggle working from home with this bad boy sitting in the other room. Huge thanks to Sweetwater for the quick delivery and support throughout the buying process. I will definitely be back here for future equipment purchases.

I absolutely love this guitar. It is great. After a setup, it is basically a perfect strat for me. It plays very well and sounds incredible. It's a little bit heavier than most other strats I've played, but it's not too heavy. I will never get rid of this one. I have a set of Seymour Duncan Red Devils in it that sound killer. I put the coil taps on one of the tone pots and it is very flexible. Just a really great guitar... plays great, sounds great, feels great. That's all I want.

My solid state amp sounds better with this amazing guitar. Only difference I could hear from the professional model was some brightness in the pickups, (which, as with any Fender, have the ability to be changed out, perhaps an upgrade in the future.) I couldn"t see shelling out another 500$ at my level. This guitar sounds great on my solid state amp, can"t wait to hear it on a tube!

Right out of the box ,This guitar is amazing. Setup was spot on... The new Yosemite pickups sound great - Even with hi-gain. I have played a lot of stratocasters and this one tops them all. Thanks to Ben Robinson

When I first saw this American made Fender Strat, in Arctic white with the black pickguard it was love at first sight! This guitar has everything I wanted in a Fender Strat. The pickups sound great, and with the push/pull button, this guitar puts out some amazing sounds! Even the weight of the guitar was perfect, it's very light especially compared to some of my other guitars. I love the rosewood fretboard, and basically I couldn't ask for more. This guitar has it all! This is now my 'go to guitar!' I've barely let this guitar sit without playing it. Just looking at it makes me want to play it. I'm very happy with my purchase, and having already bought several guitars from Sweetwater I know that I'll be getting a well built guitar. As always shipping is fast, the guitar you buy is the very one you see in the pictures (they even send you the pictures). This also arrived with a certificate of authenticity, which is nice to have. The set-up is great, and my sales engineer (Jozy) always calls to make sure I'm happy with my purchase. I've already done lots of business with Sweetwater, and have been very happy with all my purchases! Great place to do business with, and I'll continue doing business with them. About 3 weeks into the honeymoon phase and I can't be happier! Artic White with black looks real classy. These Yosemite pickups are amazing. They are bright and clear, the Greasebucket tone control is a plus. It allows you to throw the neck pick up in the mix of things with the push and pull knob. Stays in tune white well, the vintage style tuners after doing some research are geared 18:1 ratio. This guitar does not disappoint. On the Sweetwater side of thing, the guitar came on perfect shape even in tune but they always do good for me. Big thanks toTyler Moore my sales engineer did an amazing job helping me out in this process. For the money this American Performer is a steal!

Love the feel of the guitar, the one issue I see is it will not stay in tune long, Could just be the strings used. I bought another set when I purchased the guitar I may just put them on.
