Fender's American Professional II Stratocaster offers multiple upgrades from its inaugural configuration. The lightweight, contoured body delivers a nicely balanced tonal foundation with a highly-resonant quality. This solidbody electric guitar's first major upgrade lies in the pickup selection. The American Professional II Stratocaster is loaded with a trio of V-Mod II single-coil pickups that pump out a vintage tone with modern refinements. An upgraded 2-point tremolo bridge and cold-rolled steel block combine to give you plenty of sustain and brightness. Further performance upgrades include a contoured heel joint, "Super-Natural" satin neck finish, and upgraded electronics. The best guitar for the money
For me, this is one of the best deals in guitars on the market. The tone, the playability and the aesthetics are better than far more expensive guitars and at a price point that, while up there, isn't staggering. The PUs are articulate while still feeling classic and the neck is one of the best I've had the chance to play. I borrowed a fiends Silver Sky USA to compare it against and it was hands down better. And, while I'm fortunate to have ben gifted a beautiful custom shop troposphere strat from my late uncle, this thing is much easier to play and more versatile. The custom shop does a thing that is wonderful, but it's limited to that thing. This comes close to that thing while still doing a bunch of other tones and moods, while still being incredibly easy to play and beautiful to look at. The pickups have the classic strat clarity without getting muddy when you add high gain while the neck profile and finish is super fast and comfortable. Just wish fender would do this in nitro and you'd have an amazing collectors piece that will age with you.If you are looking for a good quality strat, this is tough to beat.
Fantastic Strat
I wanted an American made Stratocaster and this one is worth every penny. First, It's a work of art from the beautiful grain of the roasted pine body to the cream pickguard, knobs and pickup covers. The neck is a dream to play with rounded fretboard edges and satin finish. As a small person, i was appreciative of finding one that was only 7 pounds. But best of all are the strat tones in every position, I love the variety of sounds you can get with it. This guitar is exactly what a Fender Stratocaster is supposed to be and is still making Leo proud!
Absolutely Amazing
I've played many guitars in my life, but this one is absolutely amazing. Honestly the hardest part about it is putting it down. I could go over all the great aspects of it but those are already in the spec charts. But just speaking from the sound and feel of it, it's really something you'd just have to experience yourself. I would be hard pressed to find anyone with a bad word to say about this guitar but if I did find that person I'd question their sanity. It really is a stunning work of art. Fender nailed this to the wall and didn't look back - well done.
What a guitar!
I held off from buying an American made Stratocaster for many years, thinking my playing level did not deserve such a nice guitar. After buying a Princeton amp, I decided to get this guitar to go along with it. This guitar is like magic in my hands, and inspires me to play longer and better. I just don't want to put it down!
Too Good For My Level
I got a demo model and this guitar is a work of art in my opinion . I hope I can grow into it as I increase my skills .

This one had some issues
This is a really well made guitar, but the one I had on my workbench had some issues, I'm afraid, so I had to take away two stars.
One problem was the nut. It was chipped off on one corner and the string slots were not cut well.
The other issue was the way the fret ends were dressed. The factory worker that was working on this particular guitar was a bit too aggressive with the with the hand file, or with the sandpaper (or both), when dressing the fret ends, and removed material from the actual maple fret board (i.e. top side of the neck), which made the fret ends feel stubby. There is no easy way to repair this and no amount of additional fret end dressing will make those fret ends feel smooth. This is difficult to explain in words, but easy to understand if yo watch my review video (attached here).
All that said, I am only reviewing the one guitar I had on my bench. I'm sure most other guitars of the same model do not have the same issues, as they've been worked on by different people. But, to be fair, I cannot give the guitar I saw more than 3 stars.
