Fender American Professional II Stratocaster - Miami Blue with Maple Fingerboard
Fender American Professional II Stratocaster - Miami Blue with Maple Fingerboard Reviews
Fender's American Professional II Stratocaster offers multiple upgrades from its inaugural configuration. The lightweight, contoured body delivers a nicely balanced tonal foundation with a highly-resonant quality. This solidbody electric guitar's first major upgrade lies in the pickup selection. The American Professional II Stratocaster is loaded with a trio of V-Mod II single-coil pickups that pump out a vintage tone with modern refinements. An upgraded 2-point tremolo bridge and cold-rolled steel block combine to give you plenty of sustain and brightness. Further performance upgrades include a contoured heel joint, "Super-Natural" satin neck finish, and upgraded electronics. If you're looking for a guitar with a vintage voice and modern feel, the American Professional II Stratocaster is worth your consideration.
Great gear, great customer service.
I remember when buying online came with more cons than pros. With Sweetwater ,it's all pro. The extra details is what made me a repeat buyer. Love the photo shoot of my guitars. The communication and reaching out is really appreciated.
Best of the best
I've been playing since I was 13 years old, The sound of a Strat being played through a Twin Reverb is heaven sent, there's no other sound like it. In my 74 years I have enjoyed that sound over and over with a smile on my face. The Strat is the best to me. It's easy to play and beautiful to look at. Leo knew what he was doing when he created it. I'm 74 and still rocking. Peter Searls

It sounds like a strat in all the ways you want it to.
Great Guitar, Awesome Color
Got the Am Pro II in Miami Blue and it's awesome! Pictures do not fully capture this color, you gotta see it in Person! Plays and sounds great! This guitar was the perfect addition to my collection. I buy all my gear through Sweetwater because of the amazing customer service and fast Shipping.
Miami Blue Stratocaster with Maple Fingerboard
This instrument is gorgeous, and a very good value for the money. It came in with the tailpiece set really high (for the whammy bar), but after a bit of adjustment by a competent buddy, it's outstanding. I really like the push-push feature on the bridge tone pot that engages the neck pickup with the bridge pickup. It lets you have the brightness of the bridge pickup, with a little more "depth". The color is a bit darker firsthand than pictured, but it has really grown on me. Very nice attention to detail - The neck is smooth, fret ends are rounded over nicely, and the finish is really good. Love the satin finish on the back of the neck. This is my new go-to guitar. Thanks to Brandon *** at Sweetwater for his expert help!
American Professional II Stratocaster/Miami Blue
Amazing guitar
This guitar has great playability and tone, it fits the hand comfortably and the sateen finish on the neck make it easy on those hot club nights, the color !!! Miami Blue is absolutely gorgeous the
Photos don't do it justice awesome looking guitar
A beauty
Great customer service, fast shipping (living in Indiana DOES have it's perks), and a great all around guitar. The push-push is a really nice feature. First position sounds a bit twangy like a telecaster when you have the switch activated, which gives a really nice boost to versatility. The color truly is impossible to photograph as well. It's beautiful in person.
Great service and Great guitar
The service is great.
The professionalism and attention to detail mr A.J. Becerra gave was great. He listened to me and provided me with a way to pay for the product flexibly. Im so proud to do business with you all i highly recommend anyone to give sweetwater a call and let A.J. help them
Surpassed my Expectations!!!
I've had other Stratocasters and had debated for a while on which one to purchase and made the right choice!!
The feel of the satin neck, the sound of the V-mod II pickups are fantastic.
The online photos of the Miami Blue do not do the guitar justice!
The case is well built to protect your purchase.
I took this 1 step farther and had my guitar Plek upon purchase. Every fret has a nice radius to it, and is smooth like glass. The tech did a fabulous job of filing the fret ends and setting up the guitar to my playing style.
Glad I took the plunge!!!
Bought it for the color....It's staying for everything else
Strat
It might be a little preliminary but I received my beautiful teal blue fender Stratocaster electric guitar today and I'm following the recommendations that we're on the box to hold off playing it for 24 hours to let it get a custom to the temperature and humidity in its new home…… to be continued!
Vintage vs Modern C
I am a picky player who used to be strickly a Gibson guy :UNTIL: I discovered 62FSR Fender Stratocaster with a C shaped neck. This Pro2 is the most simular to the classic C on pre alot of pre CBS strats:The Tall /Narrow frets were the clincher: Effortlessly Bend for days. Fender Stratocaster in Susie's, this is definitely worth a look! The no stick neck feels like the custom shop necks already broken in and smooth when they're new!
Are you kidding me
Bought my first guitar in the 70's. A solid body with humbuckers. Since then i have owned many high end axes. Every guitar I've owned has been a solid body HH pickup setup. I just purchased the Fender Pro series 2. SSS.. Pulled it out of the box, Packaging was awesome. Tuned it in... Wasn't really impressed...Gave it another chance a bit latter after it settled in. Wow... Totally in love with this axe. Cant stop playing it.. Sounds so amazing and a dream to play. Haven't touched my Les Paul sense. Just get it. You'll be happy...
Yes
Get one as soon as you can.
Great guitar
I have this guitar in Miami Blue. When I got it the floating bridge was tilted way to forward. So went out and got some new springs and adjusted the claw. If you are going to bother doing that, may as will adjust the intonation. That said the guitar rocks. The neck is straight and true. Played some Jimi tunes with it. The tone is spot on.
The guitar has two new pickup combinations. I am not going comment on them as I have not needed them yet. But they represent two more tone/gain possibilities. An that is a good thing !
Only one little issue.
I got this Strat to replace my beloved 40+ year old Strat Elite. It's a great axe but old and delicate, like me.
This new Strat came last Thursday and after letting it acclimate a while, got it out Friday and it was so sweet out of the box I played it on stage four hours on Saturday and loved it! All I had to do was tune the thing and it was like an old friend.
The sound is spot on like my old guitar and I love the ability to play pickups 1 and 3 at the same time.
Nice work by both Fender USA and Sweetwater.
My only issue is the new one doesn't have the sweet smell of stale beer and old cigarettes like my old Strat.
If you can live without that then buy this guitar!
A great guitar!
After playing guitar for about a year and a half - I decided to splurge and get a real American made piece. This strat fit the bill. I love playing it and it keeps me motivated to learn the craft of guitar playing. I especially like to run it through my Orange Crush 35R amp with a compressor pedal. The clean tones really sing and I love the gritty crunch tones that come alive on the dirty channel. The case that comes with it is beautiful and the Miami Blue color reminds me of the old 50's and 60's classic cars. Thank you to Ben at Sweetwater for hooking me up with a great deal on this!
Love my Strat..
Sweetwater sent a fantastic Strat that was ready to play straight out of the box. The guitar was very well packaged and arrived promptly and damage-free.
Thanks Tony for helping me getting this Fender Strat
Love the Miami Blue color!!!
Love love love it..
Impossible to Photograph Blue is a better color description. Verdict: Fender is crushing it
Fender American Pro 2 stratocaster
Out of many guitars i have its one of my favorite The playability is fantastic . Very smooth
Even better than the last Am. Pro I bought
What an amazing guitar!
This is my first American made Strat, so I may be a little biased. I have been playing Strats from Squiers, to MIM, to partcasters for 16+ years. There is no comparison from anything I've played to this guitar! The Miami Blue with maple neck color combo is also a huge plus, and actually has more of a green hue in person.
Absolutely Love it!
Gorgeous! Feels and sounds fantastic!
