Fender's American Professional II Stratocaster offers multiple upgrades from its inaugural configuration. The lightweight, contoured body delivers a nicely balanced tonal foundation with a highly resonant quality. This solidbody electric guitar's first major upgrade lies in the pickup selection. The American Professional II Stratocaster is loaded with a trio of V-Mod II single-coil pickups that pump out a vintage tone with modern refinements. An upgraded 2-point tremolo bridge and cold-rolled steel block combine to give you plenty of sustain and brightness. Further performance upgrades include a contoured heel joint, "Super-Natural" satin neck finish, and upgraded electronics. I purchased this Strat in December 2023 and I am so impressed with the feel, styling and sound!
It has a great feeling neck, the rolled edges make it feel so "worn in". Plays and sounds as I had hoped it would!
The beautiful Anniversary 2-Color Sunburst is new to the Professional II and I think one of the few that has a Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish.
One feature not listed in the specs is that 1 tone knob is push/push to add the neck pickup, like all of the Professional II Strats.
If you are looking for an American Strat with both vintage feel and modern appointments and a Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish I would recommend that you check out the 2-Color Sunburst.
