New multi effects pedal

By Adam Trammel from IN on April 21, 2020 Music Background: Bass player and life long music fan

Really enjoying the Vox stomplab bass multi-effects pedal. Its replacing all of my current pedals +/- a few that I can't part with yet and has allowed easy switching between the different style of music I like to play. Very easy to set up. Don't be overwhelmed by all the choices. That's half the fun trying out new sounds and experimenting. Can't recommend this enough and thanks to Sweetwater for their excellent service.

Great pedal for the money !

I picked this up to help with adding some different voicings to my bass. For the money, I feel this adds some real options, especially if you are trying to clear up a muddy tone. I'm having fun with working through the parameters, and cataloguing the one's I like the best. The built in tuner is helpful also. It's not the most expensive by far..but at this price I think it's a solid piece of gear for the average user

Sales and their product are, right on the money.

I recently purchased a Bugera 1000 wt. ultrabass BXD15A after talking with Jimmy Hart in the sales and engineering department. He had answers to all my questions without hesitation on the Bugera Bass amp. The new amp. was out of stock and would call me when it came in. Upon its arrival it was on its way out here in California Central Valley a distance of 2500 miles from Sweetwater within 3 or 4 days. I was very impressed with the sound and the workmanship of the amp. This amp. takes the cake in sound, tone modeling, plus power to be heard over an eight piece, three horn section band. I plan to order a Bugera 2x12 cab. for the outdoor use this spring. Outstanding job SweetWater.

Worth the money

It's AWESOME!

Who says Bass effects can't be useful and fun? I absolutely LOVE my VOX StompLab 1B for Bass Guitar. I purchased the StompLab for guitar first (with the effects pedal) and loved it. This one for bass; albeit no effects pedal to manipulate the onboard effects in real-time (although available on the 2B model), is incredibly nice. It's super quiet and each genre modeled has really awesome effects that you can change to your liking. The effects, should you choose to use them; are surprisingly useful. Great job VOX!
I use the StompLab 1B (as well as the guitar model) for late night use with headphones, but if you record, just plug this straight into your DAW! Zero noise and that amazing tone that VOX is known for. I was able to find a stock bass on the 1B that works perfectly if you're a Beatles fan like me (it's ok... I'm old). Recreates almost perfectly, Paul McCartney's Hofner/VOX Bass amp using my Signature P-Bass! I love it Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Either way you look at it... VOX has done a great thing with the StompLab series! You can even use it as a tuner. At this price, you gotta have one!

Loved the stomp lab

By Luanne Morgan from Phoenix, Arizona on February 23, 2017

I got the stomp lab bass foot pedal for my boyfriend. He loves it, .there are so many things he can do with it. He's just barely scratched the surface of what it can do. He's in aw over it. Thank you.

An Excellent Beginner Pedal

By Scott Sundberg from Down In The Basement on January 5, 2014

We bought this for our son for Christmas, as he's been playing a few months now and wanted an effects pedal for his bass. He's very happy with it and has had no trouble programming new sounds.

Worth it!

By Ryan Wright from Greer, SC on June 4, 2020 Music Background: gigging amateur

So,

I picked one of these up for a drummer buddy of mine who has decided he wants to start out on bass. He picked up one of those Glarry bass starter kits with a cheap amp, but I grabbed him one of these to give him some other options and so he can easily practice silent with headphones.

The build quality is good, the sounds from it are (mostly) good, although some of the presets are kind of wild/ meh. That being said, I would have no issues using one of these live.

the interface for programming the effects and all is a bit clunky, but that is to be expected at this price point/ size/ simplicity.

Compact and endless

By Sweetwater Customer on January 23, 2020

This little thing is cool, way worth the money adds alot of things to my rigg without breaking the bank.
I gave it 4 stars because the good stuff here is really good but theres alot of things here you just wont use.
I didnt even mess with the factory presets i just went to the programable settings and made some patches i really like I have played it through my amp and just into the soundboard with my band it works good either way but you need to go in and change your patches from front to line out so you dont send a hot signal to your mixer.
all in all well done VOX and as always thanks to Rob and everyone at sweetwater for your fast service.

Nice Beginner Pedal

By Ben from Tomball TX on September 23, 2019 Music Background: Intermidiate

Nice pedal for the price. You can get some really nice sounds out of it, I like the wah quite a bit, very wacky. The phaser is very "shiney" but very nice. The acoustic sound isn't very acoustic like. I do regret not getting the one with the expression pedal attached though, I am planning to get one in the future. I love the delay and echo on it, the fuzz/distortion is super nice for the price of this unit. For some reason the volume glitches on Fender Rumble 40 though so they uld Improve that in the future. Overall I like this pedal but I do plan to add on to my collection in the future. Thank you very much, Ben Vinson

Vox StompLab IB

By Ray from KY on July 4, 2018 Music Background: Bass Player on Worship Teams/Sound Technician

It's a pretty good pedal for the price, I would have given it a 5.0 if it included drum patterns to play along with. But overall it's a great addition to my bass gear.

It's okay...

By Mike from Clinton, IA USA on May 27, 2013 Music Background: Part-time musician, full-time gear hound

This pedal, for the money, is a decent value if you're looking for something to do some practicing with using headphones. That's pretty much what I bought it for anywy. On the other hand, if you're looking to run it through amplification and gig with it then I'd keep looking. The tuner is not accurate enough to be trusted on its own, the synth bass tones don't track quickly enough to keep up with playing, and the reverb has that digital ring at the end of each note. I do love the metal box it's wrapped in though, and the switches look to be built to last. For home., a fine value...for live gigs, meh.
