Outstanding Guitar

By Shell Lanius from Bonita Springs, FL on March 25, 2024 Music Background: Pro player

Had Sweetwater install a TUSQ nut and set it up. Well worth the extra money, this guitar rings like a bell. If you want a guitar that plays perfectly this is the one. This is the #1 ax I gig with now, My Gibson Les Paul is now a wall hanger. I live next to and am friends with a world famous lutheir who only works on vintage guitars Gibsons mostly. After much prodding (yes bit of a prima donna ) I got him to play this beast, a couple of hilarious sneers later he handed it back and said "it'll do" lol. Believe me this is high praise, as he would have loved to pick apart anything he could find. By far the best guitar purchase I have made in the last 20 years.

Hey, Big G, Step It Up

By JB from Northeast AZ on October 24, 2023 Music Background: Hobbiest, Instructor, Life Long Learner

As a new guitar player who has settled on the single cut shape and feel, Gibson currently wants north of $ to play the Les Paul game if I want that name on the headstock.

Well, thanks but no thanks, Gibson. Schecter has been killing it for a very long time and while there isn't a whole lot of information on this guitar, the reviews and info out there are definitely accurate. You're getting top shelf quality for a price that isn't nuts.

I didn't know Gibson had discontinued the Tribute line, which I was ready to buy. After searching for the next tier in Gibson's lineup, I discovered that I'd have to pay north of $ for the LP experience from Gibson. While I was searching for alternatives, I saw the Solo 2 in the burl finish. There were a couple others (less expensive) but I loved the unique finish so much that I pulled the trigger.

The workmanship is flawless. The unplugged resonance is amazing. The look is eye-catching but not obnoxious. The coil split is a modern and very cool feature that I may not use much, but I'm glad it's there.

Plugged in, you can pull out of the classic and modern sounds and tones that you expect from a classic single cut and with a coil split, you have those, too. I've played friend's $ Gibsons that don't sound or feel as good as the Solo II.

You do not have to pay the Big G, a minimum of 2.5gs to have a very high quality single cut experience, have more factory features, and arguably a cooler more unique finish.

Good on Schecter for making such a killer instrument at a cost that most guitar players can aspire to. While I own and love Epiphone LPs, the Solo II is in another league.

If Gibson doesn't have another option planned in the $ range and isn't ceding over that market space to its Epiphone division, if you're not concerned with the name on the headstock, you'd be hard pressed to find a better option than the Solo II.

Asthetical eye candie

Sugar in yer eyeballs. A true shred machine. Feels like it plays itself. The definition of pleasure. Best single cut on the market for the money. I have the SLS Evil twin and Custom in aged black satin. Schecter is blowing it away.

A Wow moment!

By Robert Kluttz from Norlina on August 18, 2023 Music Background: Been playing for years. Been in bands, now I play for my enjoyment! Rock, Metal, whatever I want to play!

I had never played a Schecter guitar, and I must admit this Solo II custom plays like a dream! I own 6 Les Pauls, and this guitar is, in my opinion, standing right with any of them! The sustain is much better than my LPs, I glide up and down the neck like butter! Very solid craftsmanship here, the locking tuners are great, too! And no two guitars will look alike! I highly recommend you get one as soon as you see it, they sell really fast!! Melissa Behling is why Sweetwater rolls, she's helped me with every purchase!! Kudos to the Sweetwater family, Rock on!!!

2023 New Number 1 Go To Axe

By Steve Schwartz from South Carolina on February 9, 2023

I leaned forward and purchased this guitar a month or so ago. It quickly launched itself to my number one. I own a bunch of guitars and this one took the number one spot from my 1996 custom built Carvin TL60. I considered the PLEK due to the price point but declined it thinking my adjustment skills would suffice and honestly, the only thing I had to adjust was the bridge pickup height in order to balance the output with the neck pup. This guitar plays as good and mostly better than anything else I own or have built. I own a South Korean built Schecter C1+ and this guitar is much better in every measurable way and the C1+ is an amazing guitar mind you. I am beyond impressed and will enjoy this aesthetically beautiful instrument and will for years to come I am sure. If you're looking for a fast neck, tight mids and piercing pinched harmonic humbucker single cutaway beast that also coil splits, look no further. Ask for Clint Bransteter if you want to be handled by the best sales engineer!!!

Absolutely stunning in person

By Patrick Askey from Yorkville, IL on January 31, 2023 Music Background: Hobby

I tried quite a few Schecter guitars and left with this one and the C-1 SLS ELITE Antique burst. This guitar is very smooth to play and the Schecter USA Pasadena pickups sound amazing. This guitar has Really good sustain and I highly recommend it. Schecter has really stepped up their game to the competition. Thanks again Riley Koenemann for excellent customer service ! I drove 4 hours for the guitars and have always wanted to check Sweetwater out in person. I highly recommend that you visit if you can. Everyone was a pleasure to talk to from the time you walk in all the way through checkout and everything in-between. Great company.

The pictures don't do it justice. Plays like a dream!!

Absolutely amazing. They Could easily charge double what I paid for it. The richness of the color is matched only by the quality of the playing experience. The tone/volume knobs are smooth and have a rubber grip that make them super sensitive and easy to micro adjust. The sustain just goes on and on. THIS is the guitar I've been searching for. Thanks so much!!

An excellent guitar

By Bennett Salt from Frederick, MD on November 4, 2022 Music Background: Self taught playing piano and guitar for around 2 years.

I've been playing this guitar for about 2 weeks and I love it. it's super comfortable and fun to play, the fretwork and overall craftsmanship is great. You can also get some great tones out of it, I'm more of a rock player than metal but it handles rock very well. I'm very happy with this guitar and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great sounding single cut with a unique but beautiful design.

Amazing
