Great guitar out of the box
I had some reservations about buying a recently produced MIM Charvel because of the recent quality slip in Fender products from the same factory. At least in my case, there was no need for concern. The guitar was very playable right out of the box. The finish is flawless, frets are smooth and rounded with no sprout. Thew Floyd Rose was setup perfectly. The combination of great build quality and/or Sweetwater setup resulted in a very near perfect instrument that is a joy to play. The only minor nitpick for mine is the back of the neck nearest the headstock felt a little rough which was easily remedied in a few seconds with steel wool.
Really bummed about this purchase.
Was really excited about getting this guitar but out of the box the action was so high it wasn't playable. After weeks of trying to get the action reasonable like all my other guitars, even my Harley Benton I just can't get this thing to a place where I like it. Going to send it to a profession luthier and hopefully they can salvage this one.
