I bought this as a gift for a friend that was also receiving a silver sky for their birthday timing was critical.

As I watched the unwrapping ,I became a little envious. The case has a vintage vibe black with white piping. Not only does it look great it is of sound construction. The fit was perfect!the case had plenty of storage for gifted case candy So.. back to the envious part.
I really wanted a case like this, Unfortunately I do not own a silver sky. However I do own a PRS NF3 .
Found out this case fits the silver sky, NF3,DC3,and Brent Mason guitars
This is a great guitar case

The case is solidly built, too solid and perhaps overbuilt in my opinion. It weighs 18.2 lbs on my digital scale without a guitar or any equipment in the case--just the empty case. If you want protection, ok, but if you plan on carrying your PRS Silver Sky to a gig or a friends house to jam or travel anywhere with it, I highly recommend the PRS Gig Bag. The gig bag is high quality, light and easy to carry. There has been much criticism of PRS for selling the Silver Sky guitars with a soft gig bag rather than a hard shell case. I wonder if anyone who feels this way has actually seen the hard shell case PRS made for the Silver Sky. It is too heavy in my opinion and I think most people would be disappointed in the hard case because it is unusable because of its overbuilt (plywood) frame. Also Suhr makes some beautiful guitars and sells them with gig bags, not hard shell cases. So it's not just PRS with their Silver Sky soft Gig bags. If Silver Sky owners want a hard shell case of good quality I have purchased a Gator hard shell case that fits then Silver Sky perfectly and is very light, yet sturdy.

I thought the tracking info was wrong when it said the package weighed 22lbs. It was not! Good lord this thing is heavy! That being said, it is a really nice case and fits a silver sky like a glove, no wiggles or movement. It does NOT fit a Stratocaster at all and I suspect a silver sky won't fit any Strat cases, those slight design differences make for a lot of cash for prs in the aftermarket case realm.

This case is perfect for me! It's honestly not much heavier than any other hard case, and it's a perfect snug fit for the silver sky. Very well made, and will keep your guitar very safe & protected. All I wanted in a hard case!

Bought this to replace gig bag that came with Silver Sky. When I took it out of the box it was so heavy I thought they had mistakenly sent a guitar inside (No such luck). Hard to get real excited about a guitar case but Im close........

This case fits my PRS Silversky perfectly and it's sturdy. I feel that my guitar is very safe. The only drawback and reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because WOW this case is heavy.

This case is built like a tank! That's what I want from a case to protect my beloved silver sky. Ignore the people complaining. if you something built went and built to last this is the case for you.

I wonder if, in the end, a third-party hard case might be the best option - I expect any s-style case will fit the Silver Sky.

But, I'll be keeping this case, just barely.

Pros: Very solid and durable-seeming, very snug fit, generous internal storage, excellent padding

Cons: 99% sure it's the heaviest case I own, by a wide margin. Also, the snug fit is kind of too snug if you change the strap lugs (e.g., for strap locks). The price is on the high side for a case that isn't amazing.

Strange to me that the gig bag that comes with the Silver Sky is the best gig bag I've ever seen, and this PRS hard case is... not.

I purchased mine to have my Silver Sky shipped to me from Sweetwster in the case. The gig bag is fairly substantial, as it turns out. This case is heavy it"s built like a tank but I have zero worries that it will protect my guitar when it"s inside. Having both you can make the call weight or protection is the most important consideration.

I purchased this case from Sweetwater in anticipation of eventually getting a PRS Silver Sky. I was disappointed that the Silver Sky only comes with a gig bag. The case is extremely heavy without a guitar in it. Way too heavy in my opinion. It honestly feels like it already has a heavy guitar inside it.

It is well made but I am very disappointed.
