The purpose of a clean boost pedal is not simply to turn up your guitar's volume, although, it can certainly be used for such a purpose (during a solo, for example). When placed before an already overdriven amp, a clean boost will increase the amount of overdrive/distortion present in order to give you a bigger sound and to enhance your sustain. You can also place a clean boost before a clean amp to push it to the point of breaking up. Taking it a step further, the Skyline Liftup also allows you to shape your tone before the siganl ever hits your amp. You can mellow out your honky guitar or add more high end to your full-bodied guitar, which will create all sorts of textures that weren't available before. As you can imagine, clean boost pedals are a lot of fun!

Less than two inches high, less than three inches long, and weighing in at less than 7 ounces, the Hotone Skyline Series of stompboxes offers a compact design, rugged build, and flexible tone.
