Use the Comp knob to dial in the perfect amount of sustain, tweak the Tight knob to find the ideal amount of bass response, then fine-tune your high-end response with the Treble knob. The Gain knob covers the range from subtle grit to vibrant overdrive. The Sir-Compre is perfect for adding sustain to your clean tone, or for adding body to the front end of a tube amp at its breakup point. Not a compressor pedal
Don't buy this one if you want a compressor pedal. Do buy if you want an overdrive with compression, it works great as that. But no matter what you do with the settings it always adds hair to your tone, simply cannot do clean
Great pedal!
The Sir-Compre was the perfect compressor for me. PACKED with useful controls to dial in the exact sound you are looking for. LOVE the gain feature as well. I use it along with a mini tubescreamer so I can have either a little bit of crunch or screaming overdrive with them both on.
Only con is it required 18 volts and only has one input. I was unaware of this so I couldn't use it right when I got it. It does come with a 18v Y adapter to use with a standard power supply (two 9v plugs), so keep that in mind.

Very clean and great transparency.I was looking for something clean and smooth and this is it. The gain knob is good for that bluesy sound or if you want to drive an already distorted amp over the edge. It does run on 18 volts though so you need an adapter but it comes with a y cord for your power supply if you have one. All in all I find it to be well worth the money.
