PS24 12V DC Adapter
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reviewers. It really disappointed me in the middle of a gig. The wires broke right in the joint by the power supply. Hopefully, Shure is listening to the consumers' concerns and will take the time to re-develop the product I appreciate Shure giving consumers the ability to place a review. However, what would really be great is if Shure would actually post responses to consumers to let us know you are listening, taking constructive criticism and offering possible solutions to the problem.
Chinese Junk ++
Everything the previous reviewer said about the power supply is true. The Shure DXLD6 is built like a tank and I'm thrill to still be using it for the last few years, but the build on the power supply is junk. I leave my power supply at the church and it gets moved very little if at all and it still failed. Wires are broken right out of the box. I have no choice but to order a new one
More Chinese junk
The Shure PS23/24 12 volt adapter is not designed for any rugged professional use. The weakness is where the output cord leaves the strain relief. The wires broke right at that point like you would expect them to. A very poor design. Another problem is why the output plug has a right angel on it instead of a straight plug. The input plug is straight into the back of the unit so this 90 degree bend puts another undue strain on the point where the wires exit from the strain relief on the plug leading to another short. These no way way to take the power supply apart without cutting it open or breaking it open to repair the wires at the point of where the strain relief leaves the case so your stuck with buying a new one or attempting a half/baked repair. This should have lasted many years instead of a couple of years. More Chinese junk.
I'll Say It's Junk Also!
Like the others said, it's junk. I'm surprised that a company like Shure would sell something like this. It started breaking where it comes out of the incasement. Mine has only been used a few times.
