Still learning how to work with and understanding tge software
Im still trying to leaning how to run the software.but im and leaning to use my dj controller as well!!!!¡
Serato
For a cheap intro dj program you get what you pay for and even then the company falls short on their promise of delivering a quality product. The product itself is buggy tends to have a different problem everyday and god forbid that you have a gig and the program decides that today is not your day. Incredibly frustrating to deal with a program that seems to have a lot of promise only for the laziness of the programers to hit you in the face whenever an unsolveable problem decides to visit your dj program.
Keeps Crashing
Unfortunately, when I was doing a gig at a anniversary party the software crashed on me not once but twice! Right in the middle of a song with a packed dance floor! What a nightmare! To say I was disappointed with Serato is an understatement. I think I will stick with Virtual DJ!
TERRIBLE software
Use literally any other software and you will be fine. It's like the Walmart brand of rekordbox and doesn't even allow you to really DJ.

I finally broke down and bought the full version about a year and a half ago. A lot of issues getting it to work properly on my gaming laptop PCs..Tech support was AWESOME.I had several issues since buying this...tech support always worked it out with me...recently had alot of problems with my music..
Serato seed to take forever to get back to me...called sweetwater..they sent me a link...ISSUES RESOLVED!!!!

Worth the upgrade from Serato Lite
I was running lite for a while, the features the pro has to offer is worth the money. Very intuitive software..
Garbage software and garbage company
I already bought a... Serato DJ controller and now they want me to pay a monthly subscription for Serato DJ pro? It was my fault for not realizing that there was a lite and a pro version of the software, but common the lite version Garbage. The software used to detect the BPM of the song is trash and completely off, you always have to manually adjust it. The song can be in 150 but Serato detects it as 83. Whats worst is that when you do manually adjust the beat it never saves meanning when you close the Serato and reopen it your just going to have to readjust the BPM. Virtual Dj is another free software and way better, it can actually detect the BPM and whats better it has the key of the song already there. It also use of the camelot wheel so you can easily adjust the key.
Works great! But do your homework
This software makes the untalented sound good due to many automatic intelligent features. However you must use SUPPORTED HARDWARE ONLY. This means you can't use that stellar high end RME/UA/Pro Tools interface you spent so much money or any 3rd party interface. This is a closed market for sure and the only pro audio software I own that doesn't allow 3rd party audio interfaces. Serato NEEDS to make this clearer in their operating requirements. Controllers I understand as those need to be mapped in a specific way. But going from usb to the controller's audio out back to my interface DA/AD creates unnecessary latency. So until I can close that latency gap, Traktor will remain my #1. These complaints are will documented in the forums and Serato's response just sounds defiant.
