Great Bass !

By Frank from Southwest Florida on June 18, 2017

I started using a 5 string in the 80's. Being left-handed it was hard to find a 5 string bass. Carvin was the only 5 string I could find back then. I moved on to Stingray 5's and have been using them for over 20 years. I wanted a lighter bass that was smaller in size and that's when I found the Stiletto Studio 5.Great feeling bass with a great sound. A bass is all about the wood and this is a great bass !! Don't get me wrong, I still use the stingrays but this bass is one of my favorites !

Schecter Stiletto Studio 5 Lefty Honey Satin

By Gary Arivett from Henning IL on January 2, 2015 Music Background: Writer/Singer/recording artist of Gospel Music

I had been looking for a new bass for over 3 years. I have been playing mine for about 15yrs and just felt it was time to move on and get another one. I didn't really feel that paying for an expensive bass would improve my skills and decided to try and find the best I could get at any cost below 1000.00 I tried about 8 different units and they all had issues that I could not live with. My current bass was a Peavy Foundation and it's neck was so thin and to tell you the truth, it is a very nice Bass but after using this Bass over the past few days... well I have been sold this bass is solid and the deep rich sounds are even better than my current bass! I changed a few things on the bass but nothing extensive so that it would be set up like I like it. I want to Thank Sweetwater for a wonderful buying event, this is just the price and quality that I needed. The delivery was quick as stated and everything went very smooth. Again Thank you

I LOVE it!

This bass replaced my Ibanez soundgear as my main bass. It has a rich sound for the style of music I play. I want to get a 4 string just like it.

Excellent Bass

By Terry O from PA on September 21, 2012 Music Background: Bass Player for over 30 years

I have been playing for over 30 years and this is my first 5-String. the part that surpirsed me is that this is as easy to play as my Fender Jazz Bass. Even with the extra string the neck is thin and the action is great. The tone is terrific with the active pickups and the sustain is awesome.

The only one thing that threw me off a little was the length of the fretboard. This is a 24-fret neck and as a result I find myself reaching for the lower frets a little. The extra frets are completely unnecessary and mostly take-away from the playability of the instrument. If you can find one of these with a shorter neck, I advise you to buy it.

I am already getting use to it!

Becasue I am a lefty, I add to order the universal case separately. That case weight is excessive! The bass is not particularly heavy, but put it in the case and it is quite a load.

Bottom-Line: I am really glad I bought it. I love the extra low notes and I love having a close-note E on the B string.
