Its 5.4mm blended birch/mahogany shell is lively and responsive to suit a wide range of musical styles. Masterworks-inspired 60°-outer bearing edges and SuperHoop IIs give this snare a crisp attack and focused midrange to balance a powerful low end.

Sound and tone are absolutely amazing. This snare doesn't only look great but sounds even better!! I us it in recording studio, worship and live performance. I have more expensive snares but this one has the tone I am looking for in a birch snare.

Excellent Value
Of course, like all snare drums, you'll need to change the stock heads. I always go for Evans Genera batter along with an Evans Genera Reso. This head combo always improves the sound of any snare drum, but this drum responded extremely well to the change over. The cost of this drum is a great value considering the quality of the build, and most important the sound. It is responsive, has a deep tone at any tuning, and feels great. I have several snares that cost hundreds more, but this one sound even better. You can't beat the value of this drum.
