Steinberger SST-111 Double Ball End Bass Guitar Strings - .045-.128 Low B 5-string Reviews

.128-.045 Five-string Bass Double-ball Strings, Low B

The Steinberger SST-111 strings are double-ball strings for Steinberger headless basses. These double-ball strings lock down on the bridge for incredible, Steinberger-signature stability. They also facilitate extremely fast string changes. Slap on a pair of Steinberger SST-111 double-ball strings, and dial in to tune using precise micrometers rather than standard tuners - when you get in tune, you stay in tune. When you need to re-string your Steinberger, look no further than Steinberger double-ball strings like the SST-111.

Made for the Spirit XT-25

By Dave B from Los Angeles CA on December 5, 2022

I've not had good luck using conventional strings with the optional single ball string adaptor as I've experienced slippage, unwinding and string breakage as well. These Double Ball Strings are the way to go in my humble opinion. Perfect fit, easy/fast string changes, great tone/feel, stable tuning and perfect intonation. Affordable price as well. The one big Con is that they are hard get a hold of. Even at Sweetwater they are Out of Stock more than they are In Stock. Not a lot of other Double Ball options for the Spirit though.

Good deal

Contrary to the review posted by that other "person" these strings fit Steinberger headless basses perfectly. OF COURSE they're too short for other bass guitars, they're made for headless Steinberger instruments exclusively! I've managed to get an "anchor block" for using conventional strings on my bass, and it works, I've tried several types of other strings but there's no reason to switch from the double ball end strings you see here. I'm getting more, and I'll be using them from now on. By the way, I have an "anchor block" for sale...

Too short

By John from Topeks on August 26, 2020

These are too short for a bass guitar.. Probably why they're cheap.
