Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Special HH Bass Guitar - Burnt Ends with Rosewood Fingerboard Reviews
Born in the 1970s, the Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay has become the go-to bass for countless rock musos, punk rockers, and indie bands, among many others. Stainless steel frets promise long-term durability, even under the fingers of the most aggressive player. The pickups have been redesigned for more punch and sonic range, and the updated 18-volt preamp system delivers impressive headroom for a wide dynamic range. Plus, to help get you through long sessions with extra comfort, the body has been redesigned — lighter-weight tuning machines and hardware contribute about a pound of weight relief. Pick up an Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Special from Sweetwater, and feel (and hear) for yourself what all the hype is about.

A Much More Versatile MM Stingray
Beside all of the ergonomic improvements made with the EBMM Special, the most important is the changes to the electronics. This is especially true with the HH model. To me, the sound is very clean and. dynamic and with the use of the five way selector switch, the is a whole pallet of tones available. If you are an old school Stingray fan, you can still solo the bridge pickup for the bulldozer effect. My personal favorite is the number three position (both pickups in parallel) with tone settings flat. The Stingray Special is now more civilized if you want to dial that in. The fit and finish is perfect. If you are seeking an active bass then please consider this. It has been worth the money spent.
Music Man Sting Ray Special
My best Music Man Sting Ray bass to date, it far exceeds my older Sting Rays and Sterling basses, Thanks Sweetwater and especially Robert Koch for all your help.
