This is a Quality Cymbal at an affordable price! It has an Awesome Bell sound. It is a lil too light to be a full fledged ride but a Great all round Jazz style trashy RideIt is an Awesome crashI am not a Ride connoisseur, When I use a ride it is usually hard and on the bellBut if played very gently it will do the job for a sweet light ridePS I have always preferred a Crash Ride style Ride so this does Perfect!

Pro-Sabians at a Small Price!

I have purchased the 14" lite/med hats, 16" Crash/ride and the 18" crash/ride and every one of these Cymbals are of excellent quality and sound! crisp hats, full bodied 16" crash/ride and Wild 18"crash/ride! as far as finding your specific sound go on you t-be and research the factory tour and they will tell you it's a mixed bag! BUT They are Top Quality for a third of the Price Tag!!! you can also hear them !Thanks once again, Mike Soeper n the Sweet Water Team!!!!!

Hopefully you don't expect much.

Well to sum it up in a few words, "not some of Sabian's best work". I would have given it 1-2 stars but the bell is okay at best. Sounds more like a splash with a drier bell. Doesn't go with the HH crashes I currently own (must have been a AA model before they took too much bronze off). May install some rivets to make a effects cymbal. You might want to try one at a drum shop to see if it works for you.

Sweetwater Advice

Clint Bransteter

Being a self-professed "cymbal snob," I used to turn my nose up at the thought of playing refurbished cymbals. It took me awhile to try them, but I fell in love with the 18" thin crash. I toured professionally with the the Sabian SR2 line, and always got compliments on my cymbals.
