More than I expected!

By Jonathan Jones from Arizona City, AZ on December 29, 2023 Music Background: 30 plus years playing music

As and owner of some great 5 string basses, and haven't owned and Ibanez for years now, I thought I'd take a chance on a premium SR1355B because I really like "different" woods on my guitars. The Nordstrands were a plus because I have Big Man on my music man sub 5 and that pickup growls. I received it fast, thanks to Austin who's helped me out for years now, It does not disappoint and I have been in my room for days now, still finding all the tonal qualities I have with it. The pickups with the active preamp really give it a breakthrough punch, you can dial it in to too much bass to crisp highs, that there are a lot of different musical directions you can go with . I've always played 5 strings and the B string just growls louder the lower you go on the frets. The highs are nice and clear and so far rate it up with my Warwick thumb5 and the music man stingray 5 ss. That's a lot to live up too!
