Good for 2 mics
This product accommodates 2 microphones, not 3 as indicated in the product description. One of the sliders is there to attach to a mic stand. The other two silders accommodate the 2 stereo mics. Otherwise this is a reliable and well made stereo bar.
Great Solution
I love Blumlien stereo mic arrays and have been using both a pair of Sony C100s and more recently a pair of AKG 414s in a very large space. Getting good solid repeatable setups without using two mic stands is challenging and regular stereo bars could not cope with the size of these mics. This AEA bar is ideal. Readily repeatable set ups, a range of options and ready usable in X/Y, ORTF and space array As required, it has proved to be a huge asset in capturing operatic voices in live broadcast. Loving it. I now own a few AEA products and I am delighted with every single one.

AEA has designed a well thought out swiss army knife of a stereo mic bar.
My initial search was for a mic bar that could handle a blumlein setup with two AT 4080 condenser ribbon microphones. These are hefty microphones. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to make it happen and it was rock solid. After that I was able to accurately dial in an XY overhead setup on a drum kit using two telefunken M60s (sdc). The distance markings on the bar made it very easy and once again- rock solid. It is a major upgrade from the small consumer bars I've used over the years and worth every penny.
