Hammond SK Pro 61-key Keyboard/Organ with 4 Sound Engines
Hammond SK Pro 61-key Keyboard/Organ with 4 Sound Engines Reviews
At Sweetwater, the name Hammond commands respect. It’s synonymous with the classic tonewheel organs such as the B3 that played an outsized role in the music revolution of the 1960s and 1970s. In the digital era, Hammond assumed a leadership role in developing cutting-edge “clonewheel” organs that deliver those legendary organ sounds, along with all the other essential keyboard instruments you need for any gig or recording session. The SK Pro represents the latest generation of organ-focused, do-it-all keyboards from Hammond. Loaded with higher-resolution samples than previous SK series instruments and equipped with four robust sound engines that can be deployed individually or in any combination, the Hammond SK Pro ups the ante for breathtaking sonic realism.
Hammond sk Pro
Bought it for the fast & slow Leslie and it sounds great--Love it. Haven't got into the other features very deep yet, but what I've experienced so far, they sound fine. I've been using Korg M1 for my master KB but I want to use the Sk Pro. Hope that works out. Anyway--The Sweetwater experience was really fine. My order was handled very well & the follow up was appreciated. Thanks guys & gals. Gonna need some strings for my classical, electric & acoustic guitars soon, so see you then.
Had for 3 years, finally sing
Was holding out for NORD Electro 7 to replace my 6, but BIG disappointment. The Hammond was a back-up... Dealkiller was no librarian program.. But sone enterprising USER wrote one (which Hammond SHOULD buy and improve into a patch editor.
So far, looks like it will outperform the Nord, pretty much in every way. It is not as intuitive, but I think Hammond took a long look at the NORD and laid it out similar (in the 3 piece layout).
Happy with it so far.
ill stick with my nord electro d6
i bought the sk pro thought it might be an upgrade to my nord, imo, it was not. The hammond sound was maybe a bit more authentic, but without a side by side i couldnt tell. the electric pianos, horns and clav are in my opinion better on the nord. the nord, to me is better suited for live performance because you dont need to scroll thru a menu to make on the fly adjustments of individual sounds eq or effects. the hammond is a great instrument and a bit less expensive, but all taken into consideration i prefer the electro d6. if you are on the fence between the 2 i suggest talking with your sweetwater pro, he/she probably has a bit more insight on it than i do, but for now, im sticking with my nord.
Hammond SK Pro
I received the Hammond a couple of weeks ago and had some time to get used to it before our band played yesterday. It sounds better than expected!! The guys in the band love that genuine Hammond organ sound....so do I. I like the ease of recalling custom patches for quick access. Creating custom patches is a bit of a challenge, however. It has many desirable features, including the Hammond drawbars, individual volume controls for each sound engine, and a line-in input with volume control in the back. This is something for me to grow into!!
Very powerful keyboard
Went to Buy an Organ, got an amazing synthesizer
GREAT HAMMOND ORGAN
I've had the Hammond XB-2 for stage and recording for many years, but the Hammond Sk PRO sounds great and performs better than most for live play in addition to its light weight. Sweet Water has been very important in making my music sound great with my band The Universals Rock Band. Im 70 and I have played nonstop since 1969, always relying on Sweet Water. The guidance and attentions of my Sales Enginner Bryan Encalada has been unsurpassed. Thank you very much, Cesar E. Santiago
Sk pro 61 key
This keyboard by Hammond is the best organ combination yet that I have ever heard The internal Leslie is sound better that what I expected. There are other great tones that sound strong and amazing no cheap or cheesy sounds. I only have 1 regret is that I need a Leslie now! The 3300 would be my choice! I also gotta get the pedal board also!
Over the years I used Roland vk8 with Leslie 3300
Nord c2d with the Leslie 3300
Casio 7600 neo ventilator sounded great also but this skpro has but my ventilator in the closet I tried with this and it still sounded great I want to thank Alex McKinney for all his time and help
Great Organ Piano and Strings
I've had the Hammond C3 and the Cabinet to Match Plus the Yamaha Roland and Korg for stage and recording. This baby sounds great and works better than most for live play.SweetWater has taken great care to make my music sound great with ease. Im 70 and have played non-stop since 1969, I'm sticking with sweetwater. Brent and his crew are sharp as a tack too. Roger Terrell
