Power Up Your Yamaha Console with Waves SoundGrid

Add dedicated DSP for running Waves plug-ins right from your Yamaha digital mixing console with the Waves Server One-C SuperRack Combo. It's based on the SoundGrid Server One-C server, with an Intel Coffee Lake i3 4 Core processor and 8GB of RAM for running your Waves plug-ins with ultra-low latency. This combo also includes a WSG-Y16 V2 mini-YGDAI I/O card for your console, plus a Netgear ProSafe GS108 network switch and Ethernet cabling. You also get five Waves plug-ins chosen for their flexibility in all manner of live mixing scenarios. With this Waves Proton combo, you can process, record, and soundcheck with Waves SoundGrid — in real time — straight from your Yamaha console.

Note: This is an expansion pack for select Yamaha digital consoles, including the Yamaha PM5D, DSP5D, M7CL, LS9-16, LS9-32, DM1000, DM2000, 01R96, 02V96, DME24N, DME64N, TX4n, TX5n, TX6n, CL1, CL3, and CL5 consoles — it's not a standalone bundle. WSG-Y16 V2 SoundGrid Interface Card

The WSG-Y16 includes a soundcard for Yamaha mixing consoles plus SoundGrid technology for your control PC. With this system and an authorized iLok, your Yamaha console can process up to 16 channels of audio with Waves plug-ins. Just route a channel from your console to the WSG-Y16 channel, process the channel with Waves plug-ins on the SoundGrid server, and send it back. And since the WSG-Y16 card has a MIDI input, you can even control the plug-in directly from the console or your favorite external control surface. Since the Waves WSG-Y16 system takes advantage of the latest Ethernet and CPU technologies, you get superb performance with extremely low latency — the processing happens even faster than it does with most dedicated DSP-based platforms! Finally, the live sound realm can connect with the quality that studios have come to expect. And artists can enjoy the same sound they created in the studio when they take their act to the big stage.

Since the early days of DAW software, Waves has been a dominating force in music and audio production. For those of us here at Sweetwater who've been recording since the industry switched over to computer-based studios, it's impossible to imagine sessions without L series Ultramaximizers, MaxxBass, and other staples. Since then, we've been impressed every time Waves has brought top producers such as Jack Joseph Puig and Chris Lord-Alge to Sweetwater to show off their next cutting-edge creations, and Waves is constantly adding new and innovative plug-ins to their catalog. And with cool new gear such as their SoundGrid series, Sweetwater engineers have discovered just how easy it is to use Waves plug-ins live.
