PRS SE P20E Parlor Acoustic-electric Guitar - Tobacco Sunburst Reviews
If you're searching for a parlor-sized acoustic-electric guitar with a big voice, the PRS SE P20E is your instrument. This acoustic is jam-packed with pro-grade construction and signature PRS appointments, such as a solid mahogany top, X-brace/classical hybrid bracing, a bone nut and saddle, and an eye-catching herringbone rosette and accents. And thanks to its Fishman Sonitone electronics, this A/E can easily transform from a couch strummer to a workhorse stage-ready instrument. What’s more, its crystal-clear tone and ample projection make it an all-around great-sounding studio guitar. The PRS SE P20E is comfortable, fun to play, and easy to pack up and transport. It belongs in every guitarist’s stable.

Affordable guitars!!
The PRS SE P20E Parlor guitar is exactly what I would expect from PRS!! Quality and affordable guitar, yet with great play-ability, electronics which sound great and a beautiful Tobacco Sunburst satin finish!! The action is perfect, no buzzes and came in-tune out of the box...great job Sweetwater!! It definitely rings out with great volume, sustain and tone!! Also sounds and responds great to alternate tunings and slide playing!! I would definitely recommend this instrument for any beginner, intermediate or advance player!!
Sweet Deal
I recently purchased a PRS SE P20 Parlor Acoustic/Electric guitar. What a nice surprise! This little package of dynamite took me by surprise! It's easy to play and sounds great! Either acoustic or electric it gives a wonderful mellow sound, especially for a guitar this size. It came with a nice gig bag too! There you have it! Pick one up...you won't be sorry! Great Acoustic for Electric Players
I always loved the deep sound of a dreadnought acoustic guitar. But, being an electric guitar player, I have always found it hard to play a full-sized acoustic-electric comfortably...so, my motivation to pick up the acoustic to practice, and hence my progress was slow. I've spent a lot of time trying out smaller body acoustics here and there, and the PRS SE P20 was it for me. It's not a dreadnought, but the acoustic sound was satisfying, and the plugged sound was even better. Anyhow, not here to sell a guitar, just sharing my experience. If you haven't already done so, go check out some video reviews. Saw this video after I already had one. It does a good job of putting this $ guitar into perspective.
Use for slide guitar
This guitar has been solid. Granted it is tuned to double drop D. I use for slide work only. I put Martin 12/46 I believe. Maybe a lighter gauge. Sure has been reliable. Glass slide is warm and easy to move around. The ceramic has bigger tone but have to put more pressure to stay clean.A Seymour Duncan acoustic pup is cleaner up the neck 10th or more pressure on the slide down to lower frets. Thanks for listening.
PRS SE P20E Parlor AE Guitar
This is a beginner's guitar, expected more, very tinny sound almost like a dobro... but not... Love Sweetwater, good folks to do biz with, they accepted it back with no issues... Kudos.. BG
Good for some things not for others
I returned this guitar for two reasons. First the sound was acceptable. It is what it is. And that's a small guitar that will never sound big. You would only know this if you have a high quality dreadnought lying around. Second is the "wide fat" neck. It seems this neck should not be on this guitar. It seem like an afterthought. This guitar was well constructed and stayed in tune. Staying in tune is the sign of a well made guitar even if the sound is less than desirable. It was not the guitar I was expecting. Sweetwater was very understanding when I ask to return it. I don't want to give this guitar an undeserved rating. It's a very nice, well made and visually appealing guitar. If you want a small guitar lying around to explore songwriting when inspiration strikes, it great! It's a perfect adult student guitar. It was simply not good for me and my requirements.
Student guitar
This feel and craftsmanship on this guitar is just okay. It's a "student" guitar for sure. I found it unacceptable in tone and also the neck has an exaggerated taper from narrow to very wide at the 12th fret. I really wanted to love this guitar but I don't. Purchased and returned. Not a good value for the money.
Think Again
I bought one of these about 1.5 years ago. Played good and sounded good and was more or less pleased. However, the plastic tuning pegs have broken; some of them completely disintegrated and I have to tune it with a vice grip. This instrument has been kept in consistent acceptable climate. I have a few Chinese guitars - some I have owned for several years and have never had this happen. I thought that it was a good guitar, but it is not standing the test of time. Not even 1 1/2 years ... shame on you PRS. I say that owning 4 PRS guitars that I have never had an issue with; this one might be a bit of a lemon?
prueben las de gama superior, definitivamente
Me siento estafado
