Gibson Accessories SEG-BWR10 Brite Wire 'Reinforced' Electric Guitar Strings - .010-.046 Light Reviews
Gibson Brite Wire reinforced electric guitar strings are a durable string designed for high performance playing. Using a specially formulated high-carbon hex-shaped steel core wire, these strings provide greater strength than any other Brite Wire string. A precision winding process ensures that your nickel-plated wound strings have a crisp attack and high output volume. An added benefit of using the high-strength core wire is the incredible amount of sustain that these strings will add to your guitar. Gibson strings are used around the world and have more than a few dedicated users here at Sweetwater. If you're looking for high-performance strings with soul, Gibson Brite Wire reinforced electric guitar strings are a great place to start.
These strings surprised me big time
I usually stick with Ernie Ball or D'Addario Strings but decided to put some Gibson strings on my Les Paul and wow. They stayed in tune, they felt and sounded good. Remained bright sounding forever. Def recommend these strings.
SG Standard
These came on my SG P90 and seem to be fine. They've stayed crisp and in tune. I stretched them really well and they're still great sounding after 6 months of daily play. I only wish they were coated like Nanowebs. Otherwise they're a good string as far as I can see and hear. Can't ask for more than that.
Great Strings for Gibson Les Paul Classic
These are by far the best strings I have put on my Les Paul Classic. Without a doubt. I had a little buzz happening initially, made some minor adjustments, and all is well.
Best strings in a Gibson
I have had a Gibson SG Standard (73) and a Gibson Les Paul Double Cutaway. These strings sounded the best and stayed in tune the best on these two guitars. Bouth were double cut, had humbucking pick ups and were just the best strings for both guitars. Therefore on Epiphone SG's and probably Les Paul's I would not use any other string. Sure it's personal preference but they sounded the best and stayed in tune. So for Gibson solid bodies, I would use nothing else. Other guitars, experiment. Bit if it says Gibson or Epiphone and has humbling pickups, these are the best strings hands down ( or while playing).
Just OK
It makes more noise on the fretboard than any other strings I've played.
Going back to the Dunlop's!

These strains are horrible on a les paul studio
They buzz terrible will drive you crazy I'm gonna have to change them
Gibson Brite-Wire 10's
these strings are really nice....i get a full, bright & rich sound on both my LP 50's guitar...
on my LP 60 i use ernie ball super slinky 9's, which are very easy to fret and play, and also have
a great sound with plenty of highs....am currently experimenting with elixir nanoweb and optiweb...
Great strings
These strings are bright, feel good, stay in tune, and last long.
Great strings
I had no clue gibson had their own strings until about a week ago. I bought a lp and thought the strings had a good feel to them. I looked up what was on them and it was these. Came packed in a sealed bag with a logo box around it. I normally use ernie ball for all my guitars but I really like these and will keep these on my lp at least.
nice but poor packaging and labeling
The strings sound balanced and warm. They come coiled up in a tangled bunch in a thin heat sealed bag that labels string ends either "brass end" or "nickel" end. There are no separate string bags or colored ball ends. The brass and nickel are difficult to see. In stage or studio light, good luck grabbing a quick replacement.
The plastic bag looks like a quick "heat wire" melted seam. NOT AIRTIGHT either! I pressed on the bag and all the air was out of it and that can allow humidity inside after storing for a while.
They raised the prices and spent time to refine their product...and then don't protect it properly?
I am disappointed.
