Intense
The sound quality is amazing! I do a lot of tracking of my drums and 5-string bass guitar so my headphones have to handle an intense low end. These handle their full range perfectly. I've always had a problem with other earbuds slowly slipping out of my ear canal, which would drasticaly affect the freq. response, especially in the bass range. The SE846 solves this problem because it comes with a variety of ear pieces, some made of memory foam, which maintains a tight fit.
Another important feature is that they provide a set of interchangeable driver inserts that offer four different frequency response curves. The only problem was that the L/R labels on each ear piece are too small to see at a glance, specially for us older folks. This is typical of many earbud models. I ended up painting a tiny red band on the right cable. Notwithstanding, these are the best buds I've used.
