Fantastic Amp!

By Robert Day from Missouri City, Texas on February 20, 2024 Music Background: Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Cello, Synth, and more!

This is my all-time favorite amp!
It sounds great no matter what I run through it. Electric guitar, Electric Mandolin, Electric Cello, or anything else I can throw at it!
I love it!

Orange Amp Juice is Worth the Squeeze!!

By Sweetwater Customer on December 14, 2023

A bit of background. I am in a band and for years have been using EVH 5150-III 6L6 tube heads with EVH and Friedman cabs for my tone. We have a loud drummer and play hard rock and punk so need great crunch sounds.

I decided I needed a backup amp of some type and actually ordered a Laney Ironheart pedal but immediately sent it back while reading reviews of the Orange Super Crush 100. I figured it would be a better backup for my EVH amps.

Yesterday was my first band practice with the Orange and I can say that this amp is now going to be my gigging amp. I was that impressed with the tone, the volume, and thr simplicity. The amp sounds warm and full and is great!!

I have been playing guitar since 1985 and have been in numerous bands over the years and have used everything from solid state combos to hybrids, tube amps, digital, you name it. Each type of amp has advantages and disadvantages. For me, I wanted something that was easy to carry but wasn't willing to compromise on tones. I'd rather wheel in stacks to a show and sound good then have bad tone.

Although not necessary, I think this amp really benefits with a nice boost in the chain for heavier stuff. I have several Keeley pedals (D & M and Andy Timmons) and both work great for boosting. The loop is great too. I was running a Carbon Copy delay in the loop and sounded great. I am thinking about maybe getting an EQ for the loop to be able to tone shape a bit more but isn't really needed. The Orange has a pronounced mid tone but as anyone who has gigged knows, mids are what you need to hear yourself in a band or you get lost in the mix.

At $ for the head and $ for the combo, this amp is a steal! I had a BOSS Katana a few months back and this thing smokes it. If this amp can keep up with my EVH amps, that is really saying something.

A big thank you to Aaron Rom, my sales guy at Sweetwater. He always is on top of my orders and keeps me in the loop on things!

The Amp you deserve

By Aaron Wagner from Texas on December 13, 2023 Music Background: 20 years of guitar experience

Couldn't be happier with my decision to get this amp. The clean tones with reverb are beautiful. In all honesty, I only messed with the dirty channel for about 10 minutes and was able to get some nice punchy tones as well. But I primarily play in the clean channel with my pedal board giving me that extra bite when needed.
If your looking for a 100w solid state that sounds just as good when your not trying to annoy your significant other, as it does turned up to piss the neighbors off, this is the one.

Orange Super Crush 100 Combo = “O” Face

By Shane from Omaha, NE on November 10, 2023

This amp is absolutely amazing!

Showed up via Fed-Ex with a large hole in the box on Saturday 10am. My heart sank as I immediately went to worst case scenario in my mind. After a few frantic moments unboxing I realized that the amp is safe and it's time to plug in…

After a weekend of tonal bliss, here are some thoughts on my Super Crush 100 Combo: WORTH EVERY CENT!
Super simple and easy to operate. This amp is soooo responsive, every note shines through. I can't explain it without getting into the tube hype. It's all in the feeling (response). Having owned many modeling and solid-state amps over the last 20 years, THIS AMP IS DIFFERENT IN EVERY WAY THAT IS GOOD!!! Super touch sensitive with rich harmonics. Literally changes the way I play! I am so happy to finally have an amp that sounds amazing, clean, crunchy, or all-out unleashed with the gain! On board reverb is top notch. Single coil and Humbuckers both sound great. Beautiful thick, clean tones and sustain that lasts forever. Next to no noise with the gain all the way up. Added a chorus and delay in the effects loop it really comes to life!
Well-done Orange, outstanding quality, and sound. I look forward to many years of use!!

Great pedal platform amp.

By David from Ky on October 3, 2023 Music Background: Amateur

I bought this amplifier mainly as a clean pedal platform amp, for the Strympn Iridium I was using at the time. Didn't really bond with the dirty channel for quite a while, and when I picked up my Universal Audio Dream 65, that into the clean channel became my main sound. Right off the bat the amp has a ton of bass, give the Celestion speaker quite a while to break in if you can't crank it up like myself, because I live in an apartment. After quite a bit of break in, a couple months for me, the high Gain channel sounds much much better, the top end has opened up quite a bit and I find I like plugging straight into the dirty channel almost as much as I do playing through the Dream 65. A little hint, try turning all the tone controls all the way up to start with on the dirty channel, and then adjusting down from there, really opens up the mid-range and makes the amp sound much better at edge a breakup tones. Overall a great amp value. Oh yes, and as much as people say you can't do it, you can use the cab Sims from the Dream 65 with the built-in speaker, my favorite is the original 12-in Jensen speaker.

Worth every penny.

By Gregorio from New York on April 21, 2023 Music Background: Working musician.

Holy crap this is a great amp. Everything you need is right here. No tubes to break or replace. Just piles and piles of gain and sharp teeth. Perfect for a working musician who's tired of carrying around stacks of amps and constantly having gear serviced. Right out of the box this thing is a monster.

Orange Super Crush 100 Combo Review

By Dave from Southeast USA on April 9, 2023 Music Background: I've been at this for a long time.

The Super Crush 100 is my first venture into solid state guitar amps. I own several SS bass amps and find them to be great, reliable tools.
I wanted something reliable, relatively lightweight with good tone and available volume to play any reasonable gig. Price wasn't really a consideration. After considerable research, I found Orange products checking all the boxes. The Super Crush 100 Combo seemed to be perfect for my needs.
It is a great amp! Both channels are usable and sound great! The weight is very managable and build quality is very nice. It didn't take long to dial in some great tones on both channels. Everything from my Tele to my Strat sounds great with this amp. I haven't even used any pedals with this amp, although I did try my Zoom G3Xn with it and it worked great, no surprises. I did a side-by-side comparison with my Peavey Classic 50 and it passed with flying colors.
The Orange Super Crush 100 Combo isn't just a nice amp for a solid state product, it is a nice amp PERIOD! I will go so far to say, I'm probably hooked on Orange for life!
Naturally Chris and Sweetwater's customer service is second to none! You really can't go wrong with Sweetwater and the Orange Super Crush 100.

Orange super crush

By Jeffrey Lynn Roach from Illinois on February 10, 2023 Music Background: YouTube music videos

First and foremost the amp was recommended by my sales representative and I want to thank him for his fair and honest advice, I have a fender deluxe reverb tone master, a Boss nextone special, a Boss nextone stage, all purchased from Sweetwater! All fine amps but right now the super crush is my favorite. I run my pedal board through the front end and it takes pedals fantastic. I mostly use the clean channel with pedals, the drive channel is great too but I use effects and a looping pedal so that's why. Design A+. Build quality A+ looks A+ sound AAA+. What I really like about this product is the simplicity no fiddling around with controls like on the Boss amplifiers don't get me wrong they are nice amps too but I am old school and simple is my choice. So thanks Bret Moore and Jeff Law for all your hard work and dedication to a very satisfied customer. SWEETWATER YES.

Tried and True!

By Todd Kester on February 9, 2023

I'm in love with tube amps but just tired of the worry and weight. I researched and bought this and have been gigging with it in a Modern and classic Country and rock band. It is more than sufficient and sounds rich and full. I promise that if you did not know it wasn't a tube amp you'd swear it was.The Orange Super Crush combo is one of those purchases I'm totally and above satisfied with.

Bad To The Bone!

By Angelo Workings from Simi Valley, CA on December 23, 2022

Right out of the box this amp is ready to go. The sounds coming from its 12 inch speaker is nothing short of exquisite. No pedals needed! In fact, I think using pedals would detract from the richness of the natural sweet tones that this amp emits. For what it's worth, the Orange Super Crush 100 Combo is a stone cold natural born killer. It doesn't get any better than this. This amp will not disappoint. That is all I have to say about that.

Orange Super Crush Combo

By Ethan Brown from Birmingham Alabama on November 22, 2022 Music Background: Jazz and Classically trained Guitarist. Jam Band lover.

The perfect gigging amp, great clean to mid gain sounds and it can go all the way to heavy, chunky levels of gain. Lightweight and easy to transport but don't be mistaken, this baby is LOUD! It works great with pedals, and I have a lot of pedals that I like to use. The 3 band EQ on the dirty channel goes a long way and it really cuts through a band mix. The clean channel has a 2 band eq but it is truly all you need. I use this amp for everything from pat metheny, to the Dead, to Phish, to Mastodon. It is a truly versatile amp and I love it.

Love It!

By Mike from Saco, ME on February 10, 2022 Music Background: 20 years as a guitarist

This is a great amp, not just for the price point but an all around solid piece of equipment. Orange did a great job building a solid state amp that sounds like it has tubes. I'm still getting to know it but I'm really impressed with its versatility on both clean and dirty channels. Highly recommend this to anyone!

Had my first session with the new amp. Can't say anything bad about it. Punchy, loud, crisp, tone is nearly perfect without effects pedals. I'd have to recommend without problem.

By Donald Chapman from MS on October 17, 2023 Music Background: way back

amp sounds amazing ! why one star you ask? its a major pain in the ass to see or get to or even blindly feel for the effects loop or footswitch because they are imposible to see unless you get down on the ground or turn the amp upside down!!! MAJOR problem . I loaded it and unloaded at the venue wanted to run stereo amps ,fender blonde twin reverb tonemaster and this amp are awesome thanks to the tc electronic stereo chorus flanger pitchmodulator....just simply beautiful tone !! yet I wasnt able to get the orange to play. unhooked effects loop, changed cords everything no sound .you can imagine how stupid I looked toting in 3 grand worth of equipment and then falling on my face unable to operate it. came home amp works fine! Am I stupid...completly !!
Awesome amp !
