Great
I will buy another guitar from Sweetwater. I like my guitar. It came tuned which was very nice.
In great hands!
After searching through used guitars pictures and even playing new & used in the Guitar Stores, it helped me to narrow down what I was looking for. I wanted a new guitar at a good price and sales that I felt was going to take care of me, and that is exactly what I got at Sweetwater. Take advantage of the professional Pleking & set-up before it leaves the store and enjoy your new guitar at it's best. By the way, it's my opinion that a Seagull Guitar is the best $ish guitar on the market!
Can we say "SOUND"?
I have a friend who has had an S6 for about 20 years and I always loved the sound. I finally got one. This thing came packed up amazingly well. As everyone on the net says, it sounds amazing. The sound is just GREAT. Fit and finish are flawless. It did come with a pretty high action but I took care of that with my nut files, some sanding on the bridge insert and a slight truss rod tweak. Now it's perfect. 100% a long term keeper.
Beauty, eh?
I have been playing for over 30 years and was once a semi-professional, just putting that out there. First of all the appearance...let me put it this way...a truly beautiful woman don't need no makeup, and that is how I feel about this guitar. No glitz, just beauty. The Cedar top grain is absolutely symmetrical and stunning to look at. The Cherry sides and back are beautiful, it's too bad nobody can see them while I am performing. Intonation is precise and the tuners hold tune so well I have just now (three days later) even looked to see what they are...and they look amazing as well. The tone (when unplugged) is very unusual...in a very good way. It is almost as though there is a natural low-mid scoop to the tone...it threw me off at first, but is sonically beautiful. When this guitar is plugged in, you better be prepared...it requires ZERO EQ adjustment and is as pristine and beautiful an acoustic guitar sound as I have ever heard. It does have a wider fretboard, which is perfect for me. I think the action could be just a touch lower, but it is still a breeze to play. Having researched the Seagull company, I also love they are in Canada and are utilizing materials and workers that are local. I will never, EVER, buy another acoustic guitar that isn't made by Seagull. It is THAT good.
Punches well above its weight class
At the last minute I cancelled my order for a much more expensive Takamine and bought this Seagull instead (Takamine guitars are awesome, don't get me wrong). Simply put, this Seagull is well built, looks great, and has a rich sound. It's a joy to play. As a bonus, it sounds great through an amp, too. I don't need another acoustic guitar, this is the one. Shout out to Cody for the recommendation and for being an A+ sales rep; he's an example of why Sweetwater is the best in the business.
