Beautiful Guitar

Sound & Wood is outstanding. Wish the guitar would have come with a Gig Bag. Also Note, instructions indicate not to open the shipping Box for 24 hours.

Seagull S6

This is my 2nd Seagull guitar. Fit, finish, sound and playability are top notch. Highly recommended.

Also, Sean at Sweetwater has stayed in touch with me on this purchase. He was very helpful with my purchase. Definitely buying my next guitar and my future purchases from him.

An outstanding guitar in all areas!

I own a Martin, a couple of Taylors and a Gibson J45 and heard a lot about Seagull and wanted to give one a shot. For the cost of a guitar made in Canada of Cedar and Cherry, this is an amazing guitar with an awesome sound for fingerpicking and strumming. It can boom loud if you want to strum hard and then soften nicely if you cut back. This is definitely a guitar to add to your collection. As usual, thanks to Tom Koch for the great customer service at Sweetwater, my go to spot for all my musical needs, someday I hope to visit.

This is the guitar you're looking for

By Dave from CO from Steamboat, CO on October 14, 2022 Music Background: Beginner to Intermediate Fingerstyle Guitarist

I've been learning on a Jasmine S34C for quite some time. I wanted to step up to a nicer guitar and looked and played many guitars before finding this one. I was looking for something under $1000.

I spent days at a guitar center trying all brands. I narrowed to a few. I tried the Yamaha FG830 (too much base), Taylor GS-mini (nice but too small), Martin DX2E (played nice but I could not get rid of the buzzing) and then a Seagull S6 from the the big online retailer which turns out it was an "S6 slim" with a narrow nut. That S6 Slim was in what they called Tennessee Red which turns out is the same as this burnt umber. I really liked that guitar but I needed the wider nut as I have big fingers.

I am so glad I found a real Seagull S6 in the same beautiful red color here at Sweetwater. This one even has the electronics which was a plus. It's nice to have a built in tuner too. The folks at Sweetwater are great. They keep you informed all along the way. The packaging was far superior to the other retailer.

The action out of the box was a little high (2.75mm) for me but a couple quarter turns on the truss rod brought it down to 2.25mm which is perfect for me. I also installed Elixir 10-47 strings as I primarily focus on finger style. The tone is just wonderful and the playability keeps me coming back to it several times a day.

In my opinion, the Seagull S6 is the best acoustic guitar for under $1,000. If you're on the fence about getting one, go for it!
