Amazing guitar

By Raymond Buenavista from Hoffman Estates, IL on July 20, 2023

I received my Ibanez guitar and it's perfect! Shout out to Andrew for his help when I ordered the guitar. He said ETA was first week of July when I put my order in March; and I got the guitar first week of July.

Comfortable shred machine right out the case..

This axe has me blown away, effortless to play, huge tone, great pickups, excellent hardware to boot. If you get a chance to grab one, do so a.s.a.p., worth it, love it, can't put it down.

Absolutely perfect.

By Chris Warfield from Kentucky on July 8, 2021 Music Background: almost 30yrs playing guitar

I have been playing guitar since the early 90's, and I've been a fan of Ibanez and the S Series guitars since then.

This is the 5th Ibanez in my collection, and my 2nd S Series. I thought I knew what to expect when I ordered this S6570Q, but it has surpassed every expectation I had. I could not be happier with this masterwork of a guitar. My only regret it waiting so long to purchase it.

Can't go wrong with Ibanez or Sweetwater!

By Isiah Buda from Kalkaska, MI on August 15, 2020

After saving up some cash from my job, I decided it was time to finally splurge on a new guitar. I must say, this purchase is probably the best purchase I've ever made in my life. Going from a... Ibanez S Series to this is such an incredible move up. The pickups sound phenomenal, the bridge system works tremendously, and it just looks/feels amazing!

I must also say that aside from my biased love of Ibanez, Sweetwater was very helpful in making sure this guitar was delivered safe and keeping me updated on the process of it being checked and sent off. I look forward to more Sweetwater purchases in the future - although, my wallet might differ in feeling; but it's an inanimate object so I think it's opinion is invalid.

Amazing and versatile!

First, I'd like to thank my sales rep Shaka Dhladhla for once again another great instrument, fast comms and great help!
Guitar is more beautiful in person than it looks on high quality photos, Sweetwater is simply the best service and business model around.
Fret work is top notch, paint, craftsmanship, setup are flawless, tones I can get out of 3 pickups and 5 position switch are all I needed, my deluxe Fender MIM stratocaster now have a serious competition...
Middle pickup is surprisingly melodic and unusually pleasant, nothing like strat's position 3...
Very happy with purchase, I was initially planning to get RG, no regrets with this beautiful and ergonomic body shape.

Dream guitar

By Rob from Oklahoma, USA on June 22, 2017

This is the guitar I would have requested if Ibanez had a custom shop. Outside of a j.Custom this is as good as it gets.

First off the top is immaculate, the neck is smooth and easy to play and the pickups sound wonderful. It's my only low-pro (or whatever it's called) tremolo and it's fantastic. I'm not sure why they didn't picture the case here but it's the hard plastic prestige case, so no issues there either.

Everything came perfectly as expected. Ryan Clapper is again the sales guru (800) 222-4700 ext 1348.

Oh and if you can't figure out how a floating tremolo works or is tuned, maybe do a bit of research before buying a 2k guitar. Reviews here sometimes are comical, showing people's ignorance. This guitar is simply amazing. The only changes I'd make would be H-S-S (which I'll wire the 2nd up position to just do S instead of S+S) and if they did a bit of a darker blue burst around the outside.

Kudos Ibanez and Sweetwater.

Wonderful Guitar, Ignore Previous Bafoon

By Vic Deakins from Boston, MA on May 18, 2017 Music Background: Pro

The Ibanez S6570Q, as with all Prestige S series guitars are fantastic. Top notch quality, hardware, fast comfy neck, and a beautiful quilted maple top. They;re not meant to go from E standard to Drop C without having it re-setup. To give a guitar a negative review because you look fundamental understanding of how tremolo systems work is a joke. The Lo Pro Edge is one of the finest tremolo bridges ever produced.

Buy with confidence.

Great Guitar Not So Great Setup

By Ian Hayes from Colorado on August 16, 2020 Music Background: Musician/songwriter

After I got it setup locally, this is an instant favorite. Playability is wonderful, quality is really great, and it sounds phenomenal. Only thing I regret about my purchase is buying the setup from Sweetwater. The bridge wasn't level with the body, doing bends would result in the rest of the strings going flat. Neck also needed adjusted by my local guy after the Sweetwater setup as well.

Just About Everything I Expected

By Mark From Hawaii on January 22, 2021 Music Background: 50+ years of guitar playing and still going

I was looking for a good guitar with a Floyd that can do fusion to hard rock. I noticed quite a few players from the past used the S6570. I have an RG560 from the 80s but its fallen into disrepair after so many pickup changes through the years. So I wanted to up my game with the Prestige. First let me say that Greg Savino at Sweetwater always takes care of me - thanks Greg for all you do.

The S6570Q is a beauty to behold - just a gorgeous quilted blue top and headstock matched with the blue back and cream binding. Flawless craftsmanship as far as i can tell. The maple neck is "titanium reinforced" and seems super stiff in a good way. It's not going anywhere and probably adds to the stability of the guitar with the Floyd trem. The guitar is not as light as I thought it'd be; it seems like the center of gravity and weight is right around the neck joint. Strapped on and playing standing up, this is not a problem. The rosewood fretboard feels great and the medium jumbo frets are perfectly set and finished. The neck plays fast as expected.

I have to say that it took me a while to get used to the DiMarzio pickups. I do with they weren't as bright and had a bit more girth. Nothing that can't be adjusted with the amp and pedals. I may want to change the pups in the future. Also, the 2 and 4 positions just get lost in the mix. But if I really want that sound, I just pick up my '62 reissue Strat.

The case is a beauty in its own right and comes with a multi-purpose tool. Ibanez even included an owners manual, lol!

Here's where I was a little disappointed: the selector switch started of with a bit of scratchiness which got progressively worse. This seems to be an issue with Ibanez 5-position switches. I bought a can of CRC QD contact cleaner and this temporarily helped. Scratchiness reappears so I have to spray the switch cavity every so often and really work it. I have a can of Deoxit D5 on order and am hoping this fixes the problem.

Overall, I'm okay with the guitar but am not totally in love with it. Oh, and the pic with the Boogie? Review for the TC-50 coming soon.

Not happy with Lo-Pro Edge Tremolo Bridge

By Craig Rees from Kaysville, UT on February 8, 2017

I bought this guitar because I love the Ibanez neck. It is a lot of fun to play. I also really like the S series body. Light and very comfortable, and love the color. The tone on the this guitar is also great.

My issue with this guitar is the bridge. I like to play songs in drop D, Eb, and even Drop C. It took me literally 30 minutes to get the guitar tuned to Drop D and another 30 minutes to get it back to E standard, very annoying and a waste of time. Not exaggerating. I sent it back after the first day. I did order the S6521Q(Gibraltar Standard II bridge). I am hoping this plays the same and is easy to tune. I am disappointed in the lack of color options on the S6521Q. Only one color which is Ok for my taste.

Ibanez must feel that everyone loves whammy bars in E standard. If this is your thing then this guitar is for you because it sure is fun to play.
