User Friendly and Work Flow Friendly for Music writers
This program is user friendly for the everyday song writer and recording artist. Though I bought it to record full songs, the program has so much to offer from 5.1 Dolby Atmos to MIDI sequence capabilities for the every-day producers of EDM. Thought the VSTs are not like Abletons, I would rather invest in Plugins and whatever else gets me the sounds I am looking for knowing that my work flow is so simple using this program. This program is like a souped up version of Cool Edit Pro I used to know but with many more features, great Customer Support and wicked feature updates.
So far, so good
I'm just learning this stuff, but so far, so good. Product is user friendly and intuitive.
Awesome music/song DAW
Presonus Studio One 6 is an amazing DAW. The best in the marketplace, in our opinion. Once installed, you can immediately start creating. Overtime, all the power of the plugins will become apparent. We are truly impressed by the fact that this allows us to seamlessly from song production to mastering all in the same daw with music industry level results. The owners of Presonus Studio One is focused on the needs of the users and uses their options and requests to constantly grow the DAW's usability.
Me and Presonus 6
Love it, come from sphere to Studio 6, loving it every day.
Incredible power.
I'm an analog guy from the 1960s, so I am drinking from 10 fire hoses starting out. Even starting out, the features and versatility of this thing are awesome.
If I have any complaint, it is that there is a steep learning curve for beginners to learn and understand the recording features and jargon. There is just so much to learn! The help files assume too much experience and knowledge for a beginner.
On the other hand, after a couple of days, I have a pretty decent basic rhythm track with drums(MIDI) bass(me), guitar(me), and horns(MIDI). And, I only scratched the surface.
Studio One
Everything went exceptional.I am very proud of my decision to purchase Studio One!
VERY USER FRIENDLY DAW
I really enjoy this daw, for it's user friendly features. Though I have not gotten to test all that this DAW has to offer yet, the versatility and how fast I can create ideas with it on a PC makes it the best software for what I do with live instruments. The shortcut keys are easy to figure out, and I look forward to the keyboard skin for this software!
Presonus studio one
It says that you can download within minutes but i had to wait 50 minutes+ for it to be shipped to me via my home account page. was very anxious
A lot of features, but software is buggy. Instruments are limited.
There are many DAWs on the market.
Pros: Studio One has A LOT of features. Recording is easy.
Cons: For the price, the included instruments are disappointing. The Presence synth has a lot of presets, but doesn't sound great.
I've used this for the past year (with Presonus Sphere). In my project, I had a few dozen tracks and software instruments from various vendors. I made the mistake of using a single project file for multiple songs. After a while, my project because totally unusable because there were so many glitches in the program. I had to start the project over from scratch. Version 6 adds a lot of new features, but seems to have a lot of bugs also.
Studio One works well with most hardware, but the Arturia controllers are difficult to configure, and require some work-arounds to get the automation tracks to work. I've noticed that when I re-start the program I have to re-link some parameters.
I'll keep using Studio One Artist. Artist is included with a lot of hardware. If you have more money to spend, get a different product.
