PreSonus Studio One 6 Artist Reviews

I have limited working experience with DAWs, but Studio One seems to me at once easy to use and incredibly powerful. I'm currently recording a song demo by adding recording instruments one at a time, and the editing options, layering, FX, etc. are all top notch. This thing is so much fun!

For a Solid 2 Weeks.
It Was A Brand New HP OMEN. A Studio One 6 Artist Software and Ofcourse The Monthly Subscription with all the GLORIOUS Musical Sounds I can Fathom were and WAS the ONLY true Present, I spent on myself in a Good 10 YEARS because I Truly wanted to Step my Hobby of Music Up.
Only to be Fired before Christmas after 3 Solid Years and Numerous Injuries and Scars on my Body from Construction and My Hot Headed Friend/Boss., After I already Splurged $2,500 on All my Family. Literally 0.16 cents in bank account.
I couldn't come to Taking my Families present's right back. So I undoubtedly and unfortunately Returned all my products that I never really got to fall in love with.
But I assure you at the Rate I was going I was Digging and Researching like Neo in the Matrix.
It was and It eventually be Amazing again.
Also, BiG BiG props to your Staff at SWEETWATER. Customer Service was Primo, The Education and Love they have for their Craft and Openness to explain for LITERALLY an Hour easy to a Rookie like myself their Love for music in Different Fields and how Sound is Produced. Sound Engineer obviously he Was, blew me away and made me Feel like I Found a Cool Family.
Also Sorry about being late on my Subscription. I'll get you hopefully in a few Days here. Then hopefully a computer again. Lol

I have been a Protools user since 2011 and would not have changed then came subscription. Though I not against subscriptions I could no longer justify my sub with Protools. I did have a perpetual license for Protools 12 academic at the time I was attending college. Protools was all I knew, when I dropped the sub after two years, I thought I would just go back to 12, that's when things went south. Could not find 12 on the Ilok, at that moment I decided to move on too much frustration. Downloaded Reaper and Studio One and happy I did, I love Reaper and Studio One. I have spent more time with Reaper, and the community is very supportive and the software is constantly updating. Studio One the learning curve was more difficult for me but I got it, great software. Don't be afraid to change, when I listen to music I hear the artistic expression not the DAW. Final verdict make music with the least path of resistance.

No doubt about it, it was the best software purchase I have ever made.

I am blown away with the capabilities and functionality of this DAW. Yet it is easier than ever to learn how to use it to get the results you want. So much one click functionality and so much automation. Studio One has surpassed it's competitors.

S1 Artist is very powerful and widely used for narration, voice-over, and music production.

Ignore the review above that implies you need "Pro" to use 3rd party plug-ins.

That is totally false. Artist gracefully uses VST3, AU plugins from a wide set of developers, the same set that Pro uses.

Have been using S1 Artist for a month or so, and find it easy to learn, intuitive, and full featured for my needs. The effects (plugins) sound good and have clear interfaces.
I've worked for years with Pro Tools and Samplitude, and have a couple dozen Waves plugins, but find I'm using the Presonus effects more. No complaints!

Worth every cent, very user friendly!

Have not had much time to work with it but so far so good. I like it.

I had a little trouble in the beginning as I am not familiar with vst programs; but, Your Tech person who helped me went thru and helped me get set up. He also helped me with the Swan program that I bought from you, and I am up and running. Fantastic!
My Emeo Digital saxophone sounds great, and my Swan Digital Saxophone voices sound just like my real saxophones. The Tech and Sales Person were both informative and helpful. This experience is my first one to the digital music world. I love it! cudos to Sweetwater personel.

A number of years ago, I was working on a recording with another DAW. Experimenting a bit, I recorded the same track with Studio One and was amazed how much better it sounded. Since then, I've been a fan of this DAW.

The latest version of Studio One 6 is packed full of amazing features. I don't like spending a lot of time in user manuals and prefer my music gear to be intuitive to use. Studio One meets this requirement well and it easy to navigate.

I've always had the desire to record my own music, i started with Audacity (lol) and then tried with Ableton Live since the Midi Controller i bought had a sample i had a really hard time understanding how to use it, i feel Studio One is way more intuitive I am a rookie and it has been pretty simple to use, I believe with time i will get so much more out of it.

Also, props to sweetwater, top customer service.

Studio One 6 Artist is an awesome DAW for music production.

If you want to use 3rd party plug-ins, don't waist your money. Buy the professional version.

I find this software very complex and not user friendly. Probably haven't given it sufficient time. If I had known, I wouldn't have purchased it.
